Periodic reminder that Chicago could have had this world class tourist destination built entirely on George Lucas’s dime in an area called the “Museum Campus” on what is now a Soldier Field parking lot but the busybody idiots at @FOTPChicago chased him away, against the wishes of the vast majority of Chicagoans.
The actions of a few foolish, impractical, geriatric NIMBYs caused tremendous harm to the entire city. Never let them live this down. This organization and their head at the time Juanita Irizarry belong in the Chicago Hall of Shame.

A heartbreaking investigation revealed that Trump's Bureau of Land Management is systematically rounding up thousands of America's wild horses, then quietly selling them off to buyers who are shipping them to slaughterhouses abroad.
Before, the U.S. government rarely sold wild horses. But since Trump took office, government sales have more than doubled.
Slaughterhouses pay up to $750 a wild horse, the investigation found.
The Bureau of Land Management is nominally in charge of protecting the 73,000 or so wild horses who roam America's public lands in the West. Under Trump, the Bureau is sending our wild horses to the slaughterhouse.

So let's get this straight.
For years, Trump-branded condos in Sunny Isles were openly advertised by birth-tourism companies to wealthy foreigners (especially Russians) who wanted to come to America, stay in a Trump building, and have a baby that would automatically become a U.S. citizen.
At the same time, his properties took in hundreds of millions from shell companies and cash buyers - the exact kind of purchases that raise money-laundering red flags. (hello, Capitol One.)
Now the same man is out here trying to end birthright citizenship and crack down on "birth tourism." Meanwhile his own children are birthright citizens. Born here, automatic citizenship, no questions asked.
Apparently that system is just fine when it's his kids getting the free pass.
The buildings made money off the very practice he’s now attacking.
