And this is exactly why he IS a hero. You always think you could have done more, been a little faster, or caught on quicker. That is the curse of service and saving lives. You will second guess yourself forever, believing you could have done more when reality is, you did more than anyone else.

Red Flag Reciprocity, which is what Newsom just created, is probably one of the most terrifying anti-gun pushes to date.
Who, where, and why someone can be red-flagged vary greatly across the country. On top of who is allowed to submit one, are they allowed to be anonymous, how easy is the process, etc.
If this network grows, the most unhinged anti-gun state with the loosest standards needed to send cops to your door and seize your firearms can be enforced network-wide.
And it becomes easier for shitty Republicans and Dems to sell the concept. "Oh, we're not expanding our red flag law, which you don't want, we are just working with our fellow states for safety!"
I could see that sneaking through in Florida or Indiana. Then suddenly you're getting red-flagged by a Seattle court.
You get into an online spat with someone from New York. They know you're a gun owner, and they don't like your politics.
A few weeks later, there's a knock on the door. It's the police, demanding you hand over your firearms.
Why? A New York bureaucrat signed off on a Red Flag order against you. You don't even live in New York.
Doesn't matter. Under AB 1753, signed by Gavin Newsom, California police can enforce out-of-state Red Flag orders.

If one version borrows from another, changes the rules, adds new ideas and becomes more popular, does that make it a new thing or just a better marketed iteration?
