Just picked up @SJosephBurns "How to Trade Like a Mathematician:..." book. I got the Kindle edition since I am currently living overseas. I am a huge @IBDinvestors fan, and think that this book will help me better assess and manage my results.
There is a reason that a government operated news organization must turn off comments when running cover for something as loathsome as this.
Five men arrested near RAF Fairford to be released on bail, head of UK counter-terror police says bbc.in/4yue09h
Watching @AndreAgassi lead Team World in the Laver Cup. I saw him play tennis a couple of times 20+ years ago, and miss seeing him in action. It's great to see his involvement in this event.
I guess it’s full speed ahead with funding AI by CEOs who claim we must slow down. And in a way that obfuscates their financial health. 🤔
OpenAI has held early discussions with investors about a new funding round that could value it at more than $1.2 trillion on the heels of the release of its latest cutting-edge model, according to a person familiar with the matter. on.wsj.com/4rfbbWU
WSJ has a content deal with OpenAI to process current and archived content to train its models. And WSJ publishes content created by AI. 🤔
Stanley Druckenmiller’s sin against the media pharisees was admitting AI use. But his contribution to the public debate was still valuable, and he’s welcome in our pages any time, writes Paul A. Gigot

Omar Assar was NOT letting this point go! 😤🔥
An outrageous around-the-net shot followed by an unbelievable under-the-table save all in one rally against Jonathan Groth was insane! 🤯

I used to think certain politicians were either aspiring to become a weather anchor, or trolling us by explaining to us what anyone who knows how to check the weather already knows. I've had to repent in my thinking. I think that they are making daily pronouncements on the weather report to condition us to accept anything and everything they say on the topic. They are stating the obvious to incrementally prepare us to accept their climate doom forecasts with no questions asked. They are doing this to lay the groundwork to fleece us with a Green Raw Deal.

I've seen a lot of commentary on the under 16 social media ban being about controlling the narrative or child safety etc. it has almost zero to do with it. The bans don't work at all, kids will always find a way around it like they did in Australia.
This is about easily identifying every single Internet user and scaring them into submission, especially the adults. The only way to determine if someone is under 16 is to force everyone to identify themselves. That is the end game.
Procházka po novém Dvoreckého mostě. Není to jen most, je to cíl výletu. (Jsou na něm nové tramvajové zastávky. 😁)
Rest In Peace, Chuck Norris. I enjoyed his action films growing up in Virginia. He was immensely popular here in Czechia where I am currently living. He had a popular advertising campaign with T-Mobile that included commercial with a funny phonetic word play on the Czech word for ice-skating.

I just finished up a weekend table tennis camp at TJ Braník hosted by David Šálený and Michal Obešlo. This camp was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. We trained for a lot longer than I am used to playing. It felt like Night of the Living Dead near the end of the camp, but the trainers were very instructive and encouraging.
I went to see @hausedave at Klub 007 in Strahov last night. I have not been familiar with his work for very long, but he has been recording albums for a long time. He appeared this year in my Spotify generated Discover Weekly playlist, and after collecting a number of his tracks into my library, he also started appearing in my Release Radar generated playlist. Spotify also pointed out the show for me, otherwise I would not have known that he was coming to Prague.
This guy is a fantastic live performer. If he comes to a venue near you, it's a must-see show.
Fidlar is playing tonight an hour south of me in Tabor. I would love to go see them perform live. They are playing as part of a music festival, and the basic ticket is 100 EUR, which covers the entire day. I love a lot of music, but when it comes to concert admission tickets, 100 EUR is a lot. I probably would have compromised and paid if Fidlar played almost first, or near lunchtime. They play tonight at 22:00, at the end of the day today. There could be any number of stage delays, and return travel will require driving in the dark. I've conceded going tonight, and will now instead enjoy a studio recording of one of my favorite 2018 songs, that they released. Their songs might seem degenerate, but they are so sincere in their delivery. They remind me of the Beastie Boys in that way.

Just finished watching the tribute to Rafa Nadal at Rolland Garros. This was a real tear jerker. I never really liked tennis growing up, but fell in love in the 2000s watching Andre, Roger, and Rafa. I liked Roger and Rafa so much that I often felt I had to turn their matches off before the end so that I didn't have to see one of them lose. Rafa so was inspirational in his determination to play every point like it was the most important point in the world.
