Before you ape a Solana token, ask: Can the dev still mint or freeze? Do fresh wallets hold most of the supply? Who controls the liquidity? Has the deployer launched before? RugSignal shows timestamped on-chain evidence for each. Free, no wallet. rugsignal.com

went through the last 30 days of public reports on rugsignal. 440 coins. 263 came back elevated or worse. about 6 in 10 only counts coins people bothered to scan, and a warning isn't proof of a rug. still more than i expected
6
fair launch just means nobody told you who bought first
9
best habit i picked up: click the first 5 buyers and see where their sol came from. takes a minute
9
token-2022 coins: look for transfer hooks and a permanent delegate. the second one means someone can move your tokens

how i check a coin before buying, honestly mint and freeze authority first. either still on and i'm out top holders, but i look at who funded them, not just the % who holds the LP and whether it's burned dev wallet history. launched 6 coins this week? that's your answer rugsignal.com

LP burned is nice. now check who holds the other 80% of supply
5
what's the dumbest rug you've seen? the more obvious in hindsight the better
11
top 10 holders at 15% means nothing if 40 "different" wallets got funded by one address an hour before launch
9
freeze authority still on means the dev can freeze your tokens in your own wallet. can't sell, can't move them. takes 2 seconds to check and almost nobody does

Burned LP, locked LP and LP in a wallet are three different things: Burned: the LP tokens went to an address nobody controls, so that share of the pool can't be withdrawn. It does nothing about team wallets selling. Locked: a locker holds the LP until a date. Check the unlock date and who can withdraw after it. In a wallet: whoever holds it can remove that liquidity whenever they want. Before you buy, check which one it is and how much of the pool it covers.

"Bundled" gets thrown around a lot. Here's what it actually means, in 3 checks you can run on any new Solana token: 1. Same funder Look at who sent SOL to the early buyer wallets right before launch. If 10+ "different" buyers were all topped up by one wallet minutes earlier, that's likely one person, not ten. 2. Same launch slot Real demand trickles in. A bundle buys in the same slot as the create transaction. On its own this proves little: strangers running the same bot also land in that slot. It matters when check 1 links them. 3. Same exit pattern Bundled wallets tend to move together later: tokens swept to one wallet, or sells in the same few slots. One check alone can be coincidence. All three together usually mean the "distribution" is one holder. None of this says whether a token goes up or down. It tells you who actually holds it. You can do all three in an explorer. RugSignal's free scan records the launch slot and the buyers in it, if you want a shortcut: rugsignal.com

"Mint authority revoked" is not the same as "safe". What it removes: nobody can create more of that token. What it doesn't touch: - who holds the supply (one funder can sit behind 20 wallets) - who controls the liquidity (burned, locked, or in a wallet that can pull it) - the freeze authority (a separate switch) - what the deployer did with its last tokens One green check answers one question. Read all of them before you buy.

How to check a Solana token in 5 steps (before you ape, not after): 1. Use the mint address, not the ticker Anyone can launch a token with the same name. Copy the mint from the project's own link and compare it with the trading pair. Solana addresses are case-sensitive. 2. Read the authorities Is the mint authority still active? Then more supply can be created. Is the freeze authority active? Then your tokens can be frozen. Revoked removes that one power, nothing more. 3. Look at who actually holds it Top-10 % alone hides a lot. Check whether many "different" top wallets were funded by the same source or got the token in the same launch block. 4. Check who controls the liquidity Market cap is not exit liquidity. Who holds the LP? Is it burned, locked, or sitting in a wallet that can pull it? 5. Check the deployer Has this wallet launched tokens before, and what happened to them? None of these proves a token is safe. They tell you which risks you're taking.
