How wonderful that our joyful project from 2015 sparked this wonderful response! We were so hopeful that policy makers and local leaders would take it up.’Benches are an open gesture of welcome,an invitation to linger’ @clarerishbeth @rogaly JasberSingh @CoventryCAWR @DianaComan
Our 2020 project 'BENCH' infused a seemingly unimportant object with new significance, re-establishing the bench as an object that contributes to the rhythm of a city. Inspired by 'Manifesto for the Good Bench' by @radhikabynon & @clarerishbeth bit.ly/3LLWRAj

Kane Applegate makes art by collecting images and abandoned objects that have been discarded by local residents.🚶♂️ From these, he builds sculptures exploring the notion of three physical forces: balance, compression and tension. 🍃🛶
