From Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis: I'm voting REPUBLICAN because Democrats’ border policies have put our communities at risk. Secure borders, thorough vetting, and enforcing immigration laws should be basic responsibilities. These victims had families and futures. We owe them more than promises, we need accountability and leaders who put public safety first. @SolisAttorney

FROM KENOSHA COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY XAVIER SOLIS ILLINOIS MAN ANTONIO D. SUMMERS CONVICTED OF MURDER Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis announced that a jury found Antonio D. Summers of Waukegan, Illinois, guilty on five felony counts following a jury trial lasting approximately a week and a half. Assistant District Attorney Morgan Millar prosecuted the case. The jury returned guilty verdicts for first-degree intentional homicide, use of a dangerous weapon, as a repeater; attempted armed robbery, as a repeater; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, as a repeater; and two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, use of a dangerous weapon, as a repeater. The case arose from the fatal shooting of Kenosha resident Deshun Jackson on April 23, 2023. According to the criminal complaint, Summers pulled a firearm during a poker game at an apartment in the City of Kenosha and demanded Jackson’s money. Summers then shot Jackson multiple times and fled. Responding officers found Jackson suffering from gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. “This case is another example of an Illinois resident coming into Kenosha County and committing a devastating act of violence. Summers killed a Kenosha resident and endangered others. Our community should never have to bear the consequences of someone crossing the state line to commit violent crimes,” said District Attorney Solis. “Anyone considering coming into Kenosha County to commit a violent crime should understand this: we will work with law enforcement to identify you, prosecute you, and seek a sentence that reflects the harm you caused and protects our community.” Summers is scheduled to appear before Judge Rossell for sentencing on December 16, 2026, at 3 p.m. His conviction for first-degree intentional homicide carries a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment. “ADA Morgan Millar is a talented and dedicated prosecutor who worked tirelessly to prepare this case. She made sure she had the evidence, witnesses, and resources needed to present it effectively. Her preparation, attention to detail, and passion for seeking justice were evident throughout this trial. I am proud of her hard work and commitment to the victim, the victim’s family, and our community.” “These verdicts cannot undo the loss suffered by Mr. Jackson’s family, but they hold Summers accountable for his actions.”

Wisconsin governor's debate: "I don't think any of our county sheriffs or police departments should be working with ICE," says David Crowley. Meanwhile in Kenosha: David Gaspar Raymundo-Perez was sentenced to 16 years in Wisconsin State Prison for possession of child pornography. Raymundo-Perez, an illegal alien from Guatemala who was previously deported in 2019, and return during Democratic leadership open border policies. Kenosha County sent a clear message: we prosecuted and convicted a child predator, and after he serves that sentence, he will be turned over to ICE for deportation from the United States.

Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis announced the court ordered Adam Scott Threlkeld held on a $5 million bond last week after the Milwaukee Repeat Felon came to Kenosha Sept 20, randomly shot a bar patron killing him, then began shooting at police officers when they arrived. Body cameras were worn. Threlkeld made his initial court appearance today. Unfortunately for this Milwaukee felon, Kenosha does not offer tablets to the inmates. youtu.be/zadkbZMRePc?si=H1dp…

MESSAGE FROM KENOSHA COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY XAVIER SOLIS: "People can criticize me all they want. My stance is simple: PUBLIC SAFETY FIRST. I’m Hispanic. My friend Javier “Harvey” Vega was Hispanic too. He was a U.S. Marine and a U.S. Border Patrol Agent. We grew up together played football, ran track and basketball, collected sports cards. Harvey was shot and killed by two Mexican illegal aliens. The men who killed him didn’t care that he was Hispanic. They didn’t care that he served this country. They didn’t care about anything except committing violence. So let me be clear: This isn’t about race. This isn’t about politics. This is about CRIME."

Heads up Wisconsin. Chicago lost track of 21 murderers, 13 attempted murderers, and 29 sexual assaulters. A total of 243 criminals were on ankle monitors and it failed. Shocking who saw that coming. @SolisAttorney

STATEMENT FROM KENOSHA DISTRICT ATTORNEY XAVIER SOLIS: CHICAGO BRUTAL MURDER OF AN 18-YEAR-OLD COLLEGE STUDENT BY VENEZUELAN ILLEGAL ALIEN The Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office mourns the tragic death of Sheridan Gorman, an 18-year-old Loyola University Chicago student who had her whole life ahead of her. Her murder is a devastating loss for her family, friends, and the Loyola community. Loyola confirmed her death on March 19, 2026, in an incident north of the Lake Shore Campus. According to current public reporting, Sheridan Gorman was walking with friends near a beach in Rogers Park in the early morning hours when a masked man approached the group and fired shots in their direction. She was struck in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. Public reporting has also indicated that investigators believed she may not have been the intended target. Further public reporting and a March 22, 2026 statement from the Department of Homeland Security identify the suspect as Jose Medina-Medina, a Venezuelan illegal alien. DHS states that he was arrested at the border in May 2023, later released, and was also released after a June 19, 2023 shoplifting arrest in Chicago. This crime occurred in Chicago, a sanctuary city that protects illegal aliens. Chicago’s Welcoming City Ordinance remains in force and limits cooperation with federal immigration enforcement. Chicago is just south of Kenosha County, and what happens there does not stay there. Failed policies in a neighboring major city can have consequences throughout our region, including here in Kenosha County. This is exactly why crimes committed by illegal aliens must be taken seriously from the very beginning. Retail theft and other so-called lower-level “non-violent” offenses are not harmless. They are often signs of continued lawlessness, disregard for our laws, and escalating danger to the public. When offenders are taken into custody, we must treat those cases seriously, not as minor inconveniences, but as opportunities to protect the public before worse violence occurs. In Kenosha County, my office will continue to work closely with our jail and cooperate with federal law enforcement authorities such as ICE, consistent with the law, to ensure detainers are placed and that dangerous offenders are not simply released back into our communities. Protecting the public must come first. Kenosha County will not be a safe haven for illegal aliens, and we will not apologize for protecting our community. We pray for Sheridan Gorman’s family, friends, and the Loyola University community as they grieve this unimaginable loss. — DISTRICT ATTORNEY XAVIER SOLIS

A MESSAGE FROM KENOSHA DISTRICT ATTORNEY XAVIER SOLIS The Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office is aware of recent criticism from certain media outlets regarding this office’s enforcement policies and cooperation with federal authorities, such as ICE. Our response is direct: WE WILL NOT APOLOGIZE FOR PROTECTING OUR COMMUNITY! Below is a small sample of individuals who experienced the consequences of this office’s law-and-order policies. In applicable cases, ICE detainers were placed consistent with federal law. When illegal aliens commit crimes in Kenosha County, they will be prosecuted under Wisconsin law. When federal jurisdiction applies, we will cooperate with authorities such as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Public safety is a legal obligation not a political agenda. The tragic murder of Laken Hope Riley in February 2024 illustrates why coordination matters. Laken, a 22-year-old nursing student near the University of Georgia, was killed by José Antonio Ibarra, a Venezuelan illegal alien. Public reporting indicated that prior to the homicide, Ibarra had been arrested several times in other jurisdictions on theft-related offenses and released back into the community. He was later convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. The case prompted passage of the Laken Riley Act by Congress, strengthening detention requirements for illegal aliens arrested for specified crimes. My office has consistently enforced policies aligned with the principles embodied in the Laken Riley Act: accountability, detention of qualifying offenders, and coordination with federal authorities. Other jurisdictions have experienced rising violence and the loss of major retail businesses after minimizing organized theft and repeat criminal conduct. Kenosha County will not follow that path. We will continue to work to ensure we do not become Milwaukee County. Editorial criticism will not alter our duty. The safety of Kenosha County residents remains the priority. KENOSHA JURY FINDS JUSTIN TERCEK GUILTY OF FIRST DEGREE INTENTIONAL HOMICIDE AND ALL COUNTS Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis announced that today a Kenosha County jury found Justin Tercek guilty on all counts after a 6-day jury trial. The evidence at trial showed that on February 3, 2025, Tercek unlawfully entered Andrew Pfannkuche’s residence, returned again later that day, and violently attacked him inside the home. The evidence further showed that Andrew “Andy” Pfannkuche suffered multiple stab wounds and was killed inside his residence. Jake, Andy’s beloved pet dog was also killed during the attack. The jury also heard evidence about the damage to the property, the blood throughout the residence, and the extensive investigation that followed. This verdict brings justice to the victim’s family and, some measure of closure after a horrific and senseless act of violence. Justin Tercek now faces a mandatory life sentence. Sentencing is scheduled for July 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Under Wisconsin law, the Court must impose life imprisonment. The Court’s discretion is limited to whether Tercek will ever be eligible for parole. District Attorney Solis thanked the many individuals whose work made the conviction possible. “This was a total team effort,” Solis said. “I want to thank my staff, including Heather Beasy, Ashley Bermudez, Brian Stuth, Sarah Norkus, Rosa Delgado, and everyone else who worked behind the scenes on this case. This result would not have been possible without their dedication and hard work.” Solis also thanked Kenosha Police Department for its diligent work, outstanding investigation, and commitment to justice in this case. The investigation was led by Detective Kyle Morrissey and Detective Vicente Correa, along with the many officers, detectives, and personnel whose professionalism, attention to detail, and relentless efforts helped secure this conviction. The District Attorney further expressed gratitude to the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory and the Medical Examiner’s Office for their critical work and continued commitment to uncovering the truth. “This conviction is the product of outstanding teamwork, professionalism, and a shared commitment to justice,” Solis said.

Let the people of Kenosha County be absolutely assured, we take these crimes very seriously, and we are not letting these South American gangs get a foothold here. District Attorney Xavier Solis issued the following statement: “These are not petty criminals. These are organized, well-coordinated professional South American gangs.
