Boarding a plane back to real life. I didn’t know what to expect at my first #blizzcon2026. I now get it. I met devs, fans, players, and fellow content creators and found passion and warmth at every turn. My heart is full. Thanks @Blizzard_Ent and @Warcraft. I will be back.
Ep 46 is live. Listen anywhere or on Spotify and YouTube, you can WATCH! The first video episode of Solo Queue was starting to feel like a Melvillian crusade. But 1st half is live. #warcraft #warcraftpodcasts open.spotify.com/episode/2CN…
Hey @AggrendWoW or @Joh_Burg or anyone at @Blizzard_Ent please, when it is time for #warcraft Forever shout loudly from the rooftops “Ready…set…GO!!!”
In my mental calendar, Nov. 4 was Thursday. Today, I pieced together that if today/Tuesday is Nov. 3, I have a math problem. And in trying to put out a podcast, I also have a time problem. Solo Queue HQ is in chaos! The lights will be on all night prepping for #Warcraft Forever!
Hey @BerzerkerRage and @Shieldwalled , I hope this is the video you shared with your kids to explain how to have a safe Halloween.
Two hours until what I think I will call the friends & family launch of my WoW streaming channel. Going to take my first look at Labyrinths. Stop by and say hi! Quality expectations should be tempered. But I promise no annoying ads! I'm Sweeperdave in the purple place.
I’m always busy on patch days but I know always know it arrived by the increased anger on Twitter. This time seems even more than normal and from some sources who usually stay away from pure negative. @Blizzard_Ent, what am I in for in #warcraft 12.1.5?
I have the Captain Lou Albano song stuck in my head right now. I miss the guy, but that song is terrible…and impossible to dislodge!
Alright, the next 10 people who download episode 45 of Solo Queue get it absolutely for FREE! Of course, so do the next 10, but shh…don’t spoil it. Main topics are my Blizzcon adventures and the start of the WoW Forever era!
A solo player makes the pilgrimage to #Blizzcon2026 in SQ Ep 45. I never knew I needed this in my life. And a tour of new @Blizzard_Ent announcements, including the new hotness, WoW Forever! #warcraftpodcasts #wowforever #whatretail

Loving this passion for WoW Forever. If you want crap all over this, just quietly choose not to play it—clearly you need a different experience. Or contribute productively to the convo. Kudos to @AggrendWoW and the entire Forever team! Amazing stuff and we can’t wait for more!
Long potentially sappy yap incoming.
You know, having worked on this game for last few years I have done a lot of playtesting my own content, internal alpha testing, team playtests, etc. I've probably "played" multiple thousand of hours of WoW: Forever at this point.
Since beta launched, I'd been playing it as much as I could, but it was sporadic. I managed to reach 20 on two characters doing that, so it was not an insignificant amount of playtime. However, I often times interrupt myself to go send a slack msg, or fix a bug when I notice things while playing, and it usually turns into work in one way or another after a few hours.
But yesterday, I just... played the game for a whole day in the beta. I'm talking 9 or 10 hours. Slack closed, off VPN. I just played.
And it was a full day:
- I got 4/5 pieces of the Fang set on my druid
- Crafted a sweet leather helm for her
- Finished leveling my forsaken pally to 20
- Finished up the last of my dungeon quests my warrior
- I met a hilarious and very irreverent paladin tank who I ran Wailing Caverns 3 times in a row with to try and get him the cape from Verdan, and me the fang boots from Serpentis (Neither of us got what we wanted)
- Did 2 dungeons with some guild members I haven't really spoken to or grouped with in 3 years or so
It was a transformative experience for me. I think yesterday was when it is really starting to actually feel real. It wasn't Blizzcon and how crazy that was, the reception to beta, the podcast, or anything like that. It was just "no lifing" the game for 10 hours and wanting more at the end. Honestly, I got a little emotional.
It hit me that the team really did it. I mean they DID IT. Yeah there's improvements and fixes to be made still, and there's feedback to act on (and stay tuned, we've got updates coming soon on some big feedback items). But all of that stuff aside, this is going to be a legendary launch, and the Forever team completely blew even my expectations out of the water.
I look at each loving detail or small secret, knowing who exactly put that there and thinking how we couldn't have done this without that person. Then I think of the brilliant things that person added that haven't been found or aren't available yet, and I get almost giddy with excitement for them.
I said a week or so ago that I thought we had something special here, and we do. I just can't believe the dumb luck that I get to be a part of this moment with such a once-in-a-lifetime team. It's wild.
Anyway, rambly sunday morning post. Have fun and be good to each other!
(Now that I have mine safely ordered, I can announce) 📢
The @Warcraft Forever Collector’s Edition has been restocked! Thanks @Blizzard_Ent
Always quality reporting from @JezCorden, here explaining the design philosophy driving WoW Forever and how it differs from Retail. A good read.
I spoke to Blizzard to learn more about the WoW: Forever design philosophy.
We talked about World of Warcraft Classic vs Retail, bringing features like Player Housing to Forever, class balance and lore building, and much more.

After two days of being on a damn overnight field trip and my laptop somehow just not launching #wowforever, I am home, dinner has been eaten, and I now have to decide between Normal and PVP! Forever starts right now!
