Mario Hezonja Postgame After Win vs Nets: “[0:14] It was similar to Philly because we were executing really good to start the game. The third quarter was much better from our starters now in this game…it takes time for things to click. There are no excuses on that but we’re working on it. There are some new pieces we added to the team so this unfortunately takes some time—[0:56, Balancing Things You Learned] Next game, next possession. It’s frustrating to have that mentality for us sometimes but it really comes down to that. Refresh your mind and get ready for what’s coming towards you—[1:35, How Long It Takes To Get Comfortable As A Team] As a group, it takes time everywhere. The more pieces you add, the more time you will need. This is just worldwide sports….like the first game, I really felt nothing. Just contribute to winning basketball as an organization such as us—[2:26, Main Aspect of Maintaining A Big Lead] Good offense because then it helps you guard the ball easier. The pressure is on them and our rhythm is imposed onto the opponent so it’s much easier to go both ways…I think that impacts a lot of the mental aspect of a player and the team on the defensive side…the more we can take care of the ball, get some good possessions, it’s gonna help us tremendously because on the back side we have two of the best defenders in the whole world. They help us a lot but we have to help them offensively getting everyone on the same page—[3:37, Jaylon Tyson] Yeah, yeah that’s my brother. He was great. He made an impact on the game…he even got hit and I told him to get back up, keep doing what he’s doing on the floor, and that he’s okay. He impacted winning…really happy to share the court with him.”
