this entire thread! please read
if we understand the self not as an abiding or unchanging essence but an ongoing process of reiteration + revision that always takes place in relation to social norms that carry the potential for privilege and oppression... 4

I wonder if they also accounted for personality and life style traits (or eating together with such people) that the French refer to as 'joie de vivre'.
Hungry consumers are (not surprisingly) more likely to make hedonic-oriented food choices, but also more likely to make pleasurable choices in areas that have nothing to do with food. - Dr. Tobias Otterbring #EuroSense2018 #sensory #consumer #behavior

Exactly. It has nothing do to with Safety lol its called olfactory adaptation. The process of smelling is taxing on our brain nerves/sensors and so our brain goes numb to the scents after awhile so they can focus on new things.

familiar sweet fragrance I sense in its presence is, in actuality, a chemical alteration between my olfactory nerve endings that recalls past encounters with roses from my memory

When I'm styling I'm thinking of all the senses and aroma plays a big part in how we feel. Keep your home smelling sweet with an aroma pot, just fill a pan of boiling water with fruit and herbs. #moodofmymorning #slowsimpleseasonal #embracingtheseasonsathome #scrumptiouskitchen

How helpful are health labels on food packages? Opposite to many previous studies: Healthy choice #labels did not enhance consumers' ability to choose healthier foods. (M Siegrist, ETH Zūrich) ETH study used a more realistic choice task than previous studies. #EuroSense2018

Thank you! Loving the FAQ, especially as a nonbinary femme presenting intersex author. I talked about the 'marginalized gender' label with one friend that used to call herself binary transfeminine. Now she said she prefers just 'woman'. Or lesbian. So... I don't know...
NEW RESOURCE: "Women + nonbinary" in calls for submissions, and how this term is reduced to "women". FAQ with bullet points, potential alternatives, discussion: bogireadstheworld.com/why-wo… I suggest multiple alternatives based on what you are trying to achieve! #translit

I have previously said that I prefer "marginalized genders / sexes" (this is also intersex-inclusive) instead of "women + nonbinary," but current trends only solidified my position. "Women + nonbinary" can be too easily simplified to "women", even when this is incorrect.

A human result of the scientific conclusion that sex is a spectrum and intersex people are a perfectly normal result of nature, is that there is no scientific rationale for medically (or culturally) forcing people into those two peaks.
