I'd more say the design just reflects Bulleids use of a crack pipe

Anyway, proper version of the image.

despite the fact that EWS has been dead for nearly 20 years there's still a few still in full EWS livery

I'll never get why the Q1s are treated like their the same type of 'war engines' like the Austerities, WDs, 8Fs, etc

A great thread, nice to see the usual misconceptions disproved (slate MSR my beloathed) as well as a detailed analysis on the many anomalies of the MSR. One of the many things that's great about the MSR is its so interpretive so everyone has at least a slightly different view of-

I think there is room for the FR-esque bogie coaches, Wilbert does say the TT for ulfstead road is quite liberal, and seemingly the 'normal services' do seem to be missing so there is some room there to include them

two withdrawn pre-pres of which only one was enclosed like the model, but with the other two types there were alot more withdrawn (so more the MSR can pick up)

I will say he only said ex-FR coaches that were nicknamed bug boxes by MSR crews (the nickname on the FR didn't come about till the 50s) so there is a little wiggle room to include the Ashburys and Type 3 quarrymans coaches. The main problem with the BMs is that there were only-

the layout notes do note they are similar to the SR ones, so probably at least a 4w BM of more normal proportions (no squat ffes style)

there are two crossing here on the timetable but these are with the goods so probably just shoved in a siding

it was still a few years till the englands were rebuilt to how we know them now with Palmerston and Little Giant being rebuilt in 1888. I can imagine Duke looking something like this, a small england but with the tank of a large (for the longer distances of the MSR)

THE BIG MID SODOR THREAD: Buckle up Kids, it's a long one. I've got so many MSR thoughts bouncing around in my noggin if I don't get it out I'm gonna explode. NOTE: This thread will contain no headcanon. We are sticking exclusively to proven information and educated inferences

MINING: WHAT THE HELL DO THEY HAUL? The MSR is NOT a slate carrying Railway. Never has been. Another very common misconception that a lot of fans assume due to the FR/CR connection. The MSR moves granite, lead, and associated minerals from lead mining (silver, zinc, copper)

COUPLINGS- WHAT'S THE DEAL? As we all know, the MSR uses the Corris Railway's coupling system. Most noteably that distinctive square bar we see on all the engines. I see a lot of interpretations of these couplings that tell me that people may not know how this system works.

How is it misogyny if Pug is never gendered? I think the reason some kill of pug is due to the class not surviving at all and quickly being scrapped after withdrawal

I'd say the opposite tbh, I'd day post-70s Sodor is interesting given how underutilised/poorly done it is. Seeing how Sodor and its railways adapt to the ever changing world. The juxtaposition works imo
