I do think these are clearly something like "research findings" or "raw data" at this point. Very unusual situation in math.
Replying to @gro_tsen
OpenAI should just say βwe have some results, they may be slop, but we think of them as βraw dataββ - then at least the disorganization would make sense.
But they insist on a veneer of respectability while putting out slop - worst of both worlds!

Public key encryption protects all online payments, secure text messages, the security of all cryptocurrency, and virtually any secure information on the internet. But, the original RSA encryption protocol only works because a certain mathematics problem is not yet solved
If we similar discover a classical polynomial time algorithms for factoring integers, a great deal of private information would collapse. And, LLMs seem particularly adept at improving algorithms, particularly in the post-Navier-Stokes era
Is public key cryptography in danger of collapse? I hope not, but the situation seems precarious. Here's an interactive tutorial on RSA encryption, and on the status of the unsolved mathematics problem that currently protects it soulphysics.org/2026/10/is-pβ¦

'Tenure' for all LSE academics is under threat. PLEASE LSE academics come to the extraordinary Academic Board meeting this Mon, 2 Dec at 9:30am. Share and help us 1) demand transparency, 2) demand the Staff+Student Veto be restored, and 3) demand 'tenure' at the LSE be saved
