REPLAY ⏪🚨
Problem goes OFF as he defends Kendrick Lamar while addressing the continued backlash over Drake’s 2024 rap battle LOSS during an appearance with Glasses Malone at Baller Alert’s studio with Ferrari Simmons.
Problem says he’s tired of people questioning why they’re celebrating Kendrick’s victory, arguing that fans and friends should be allowed to show love to the person who WON the battle. He compares it to celebrating a winning sports team instead of constantly revisiting the losing side.
He also suggests Drake’s supporters are struggling to accept the outcome because they expected him to win, adding that some industry figures in Atlanta, Miami and New York benefited financially from their relationships with Drake.
Problem, who admits he was a huge Drake fan before the battle, says he can no longer connect with his music the same way because of the change in Drake’s energy and persona following the loss.
His biggest point? It’s not about hating Drake. It’s about loving Kendrick, celebrating their friend’s victory and refusing to pretend the 2024 outcome didn’t happen. As Problem puts it, no amount of revisiting the conversation will change the fact that Kendrick WON. 🏆
Overly agreed lol. Black LA already exists in its own cultural bubble compared to the rest of the country. Then you got an industry full of niggas whose idea of LA music hasn’t evolved since THEY were young.
ATL, NYC, NC all get to develop new sounds. Meanwhile, every time somebody out here does something different, it “don’t sound LA.”
Nigga how the fuck we supposed to have a new wave if it gotta sound like the old one to count? 😭

The things is the LA artist has to actually be good to pull this off. It’s a couple cats in LA that’s fasho spearheading this movement. But you know how it goes they not gonna shed light on it because it doesn’t “sound LA”

Barack Obama may be the most effective Democrat politician of our lifetime.
His ability to communicate is really powerful and really dangerous.
If we didn't have the 22nd Amendment, it wouldn't surprise me if Obama spent the rest of his life in the White House.

The only thing missing off this list is the passive rap fan is pretty much gone now. The passive fan loves country now.

I feel like these days you ask people do you like a song/artist they give you a full speech about branding/rollout/aesthetic/marketing like ok nvm
Most banks need at least 2 years of tax returns for proof of income and a profit and loss statement. Even if the credit is good. You can’t just pop up like “where the loans at?”
Starting an LLC and having a 650 credit score doesn’t mean a bank is handing you a $100K business loan. That’s not how business lending works. Banks look at revenue, cash flow, debt, credit history, and your ability to repay. A brand new LLC with no revenue or assets isn’t automatically getting funded.
And you’re comparing two completely different financial structures. A bank loan has to be repaid regardless of whether the record succeeds. A traditional label advance is generally recouped from royalties, and the label assumes the risk of not recovering its investment.
I’m not saying an artist should sign a bad record deal, but telling independent artists they can simply open an LLC and get a business loan to fund their music is misleading.
