May 9 is the day I think about my grandparents a lot. Unfortunately, I only knew one of them, my father’s father. Others died before I could talk. All of them survived the WWII.

This is my grandfather on father’s side and letters he received from military archives (and a letter he wrote to one of them). His brother Leonid went missing in the war in 1943 and there’s no info about what happened to him. To this day, we don't even know where he's buried.
