“Trump will continue to raise money through MAGA Inc. while keeping the lion’s share for himself - and the GOP damn well knows it. They not only became massively unpopular, they have essentially lost the ability to fundraise for their own PACs while he remains in office. They understand their awful and incompetent leader well enough now to know how much trouble they are in as a party - and they deserve every bit of it. The fact that POTUS just promoted Stephen Miller to White House Chief of Staff and moved Susie Wiles to his Trump political operation should be seen more as a lateral move than a demotion. Though, make no mistake, when Trump seeks to lash out and fire someone it is most likely gonna be a woman; during his second term it has been almost exclusively so (Corey Lewandowski was sort of collateral damage when it came time to fire Kristi Noem). Wiles was a prodigious fundraiser in Florida Republican circles for decades - DJT is sending her back down to there to raise as much money for his own coffers as humanly possible over the next two years. It is also no surprise ‘The Sunshine State’ bucked the national trend and stayed firmly in the grip of repugnant Republicans. If anything, they are guilty of backsliding in the passing Amendment 3 which increased homestead property exemptions from 50k to 150k next year and 250k in 2028. The property tax exemptions will continue to cycle up until millionaires are escaping taxes altogether on luxury homes. This is civic suicide: the lost revenue to local governments will be nearly $5 billion in the first year alone. A parting gift from Governor Ron Desantis to his billionaire backers; municipal services, fire & rescue, and road repair departments will all suffer but the wealthy will not feel the pinch - the working and middle class citizens will be left with less, as is always the case with conservative policies.” noelcasler.substack.com/p/fe…
