Cummins is known for diesels, but they also don't want to fall behind as the world moves toward electrification.
They've created the "Accelera by Cummins" division which produces components for heavy duty electric trucks. Among them, batteries, and what they call eAxles. These combine the motor, inverter, and gearing into a single unit.
Right now Accelera collaborates with manufacturers like Blue Bird and Thomas Built for electric school buses, and Isuzu for medium-duty trucks. These parts are already powering some stuff on the road, and Isuzu plans to launch the electric NPR in North America in 2027.

Since 1985, the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority (MWRA) has expanded it's service area from 46 to 53 communities.
Despite this growth in service area and regional population growth, water demand has fallen by 38%, from 334mgd in 1985 to 207mgd in 2024.

Everyone remember the launch of the Ford F-150 Lightning and how we were all going to be able to back up our homes with our massive truck battery? At one point, a year or so after the 'launch' of this, we called several Ford Dealers, Sunrun, and one of Sunrun's installation partners, and nobody could tell us how to buy what we needed to get this feature. Despite splashy TV commercials, I don't think they ever really shipped the vehicle-to-home backup feature.
Let's hope they've thought it fully through this time. This is literally the 'killer app' for EVs and Tesla now has it for their cars, and implemented very smartly through the Powerwall.

BREAKING: Yemen’s Houthis have reportedly struck Saudi Arabia’s largest oil refinery at Ras Tanura with a ballistic missile, triggering a fire at one of the Kingdom’s most critical oil export hubs, per Bloomberg.
Ras Tanura is the cornerstone of Saudi oil exports, housing a refinery with a 550,000 barrel-per-day capacity and a terminal that handled over 5 million barrels daily before the war. With Yanbu on the Red Sea already hit, Saudi Arabia’s two main export arteries are now under fire.
It comes as Riyadh reportedly offered Yemen’s Houthis $1 billion through Iran to halt attacks on the Kingdom, but the Houthis struck the kingdom's most vital terminal anyway.

One of the biggest downtown housing crashes in America is happening right now in Nashville, TN.
Condo owners are liquidating. And people who bought near the peak are selling at $300k+ losses.
The previous condo owner bought it for $1.15 million in March 2024.
And just sold it for $825,000 this month.
That's a $325,000 loss (-28%) in just 2.5 years. And that's before realtor commissions and other expenses.
And this downturn will likely continue, as Downtown Nashville has the biggest supply pile-up of any dowtown area in America. (inventory 110% above normal).
In fact, typical values in Nashville 37203 already down 11.2% from peak, but clearly are dropping more in some cases.
Meaning condo sellers are facing an enormous amount of competition, with more price cuts likely coming in 2027.
Good news if you're looking to scoop up a discounted condo. Bad news if you bought near the peak.
