“‘Often the deep valleys of our present will be understood only by looking back on them from the mountains of our future experience.’ The Redeemer rescues not by shortening our course but by helping us lengthen our stride.”

“Your Saviour is your lift. He is your ever-rising air. There is no limit to how high you can climb with Him. Jesus Christ lives to lift. Through the amazing grace of Jesus Christ, we can avoid spiritual sink and find spiritual lift.”

“All human beings male and female are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Beware of the adversary’s deceitful lie that twists this precious truth.”

“Covenants with God are filled with incalculable power. They do not bless just the maker of the covenant but are generational in their impact.” “It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s Atonement shines.”

“I testify that the law of tithing is a law of faith. As we obey it, we demonstrate our trust in the Lord and allow Him to work miracles in our lives, often in ways we do not expect. Tithing can break cycles of poverty in poor nations and families.”

“As we build our spiritual immunity, we develop the strength and courage to withstand the challenges of life. May I share some of these small and simple things with you? First, scripture study. Second, prayer. Third, the sacrament. Fourth, covenants.”

“Your criticism may be worse than the conduct you are trying to correct.”
"Let us not become so intense in our zeal to do good by winning arguments or by our pure intention in disputing doctrine that we go beyond good sense and manners, thereby promoting contention, or say and do imprudent things, invoke cynicism, or ridicule with flippancy.

“As covenant followers of Jesus Christ, we minister with compassion to whomever God places in our path. Let us put compassion into action and minister to the person in front of us. It’s what Jesus did. And it’s what we do.”

There has to be a way for all faiths to get along unified in our diversity.
Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and Sikh communities came together for the first Los Angeles interfaith concert on Sunday, October 18, 2026. During the event, a representative of the City of Los Angeles presented The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with an honor of recognition. President Lloyd D. Newell of the Church’s California Los Angeles Mission narrated the event. He served for 34 years as announcer and writer for The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square’s international broadcast, “Music & the Spoken Word.” “May the sound we hear tonight be more than an ending. May it be a beginning, a call to awaken the goodness within us, to reach beyond our differences, to carry the flame of faith and the light of love into a world that so deeply needs both,” he said. When apostle (special witnesses of Jesus Christ) say they have had special experiences it’s something to take note of.
Jesus Christ is the central Being of all human history. In the 17 years I have been in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, I have had special experiences and moments of powerful spiritual enlightenment that allows me to testify with honesty and completeness that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.

We could all probably learn a lot from each other if we’d make the attempt to listen to understand before we judge and condemn.

“They survived because of God’s miracles, yet they repeatedly focused on cold oatmeal. As they overlooked both the Lord’s blessings and His promises, their trust eroded in God and in God’s prophet, Moses.” Don’t focus on the cold oatmeal focus on the miracles happening everyday.

“For us as Latter-day Saints, overarching all other concerns is the fact that gambling is morally wrong.” “President Hinckley said, ‘I think I could answer the question concerning gambling just that briefly. We are against it.’” “O be wise; what can I say more?”

This is awesome! The more we understand each other the easier it will be to work together and unify.

People of faith should be able to love, accept and care for each other. We should be able to interact with kindness and grace. Even on X….😃
President Dallin H. Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints welcomed religious leaders from around the world to Salt Lake City on Thursday, praising efforts to build peace and understanding while respecting differences in belief. “People of goodwill, compassion, and a desire to understand and help one another — without demanding a compromise of distinctive commitments — are at the core of peacemaking,” he said during the opening ceremony of the G20 Interfaith Forum in the Salt Lake Tabernacle.
