“Dissident Right” is objectively a worse term than “Alternative Right.” “Alternative” has a resonance of hopeful legitimacy - i.e., “a better alternative.”
A dissident, by contrast, has no future. He is disconnected, powerless, and ultimately useless.
Semantics do matter.

I would vote for Robert Pattinson, but also think Callum Turner is an excellent choice. The rest, I admit, leave me somewhat cold for this role.

My thoughts on the Midterm Results:
My heart breaks for our country. Despite the best efforts by so many to support Republican candidates and call conservatives back to our principles, our Republican team suffered a historic defeat.
This midterm election wasn’t a rout, it was a reckoning. The American people have rejected our party’s shift toward economic populism, and our majorities in Congress and state legislatures and governorships across the country paid the price.
But like most people of faith, I’m an eternal optimist. I know that with God’s help, we can save our movement—and our country—again. We can return the Republican Party to the timeless principles that have led to our greatest successes and, more important, have made America strong, prosperous and free.
The conservative comeback starts today. Let’s get to work. 🇺🇸
I’m sure that sphere will continue to exist in some shape or form, but the end of MAGA will also be the end of that circle in most practical ways.
Their strength always lay in 2016-style mythologizing of Trump and Putin, which is no longer believable. There’s not much else there

This is how it will play out. Trump is calm and he is working with the CIA and Homeland Security knowing the election was rigged. The teams on the ground will gather the evidence from the machines and illegal ballots. The results will come in as massive voter fraud across the Nation. Trump will have Homeland Security make arrests and there will be a special Message delivered to the American people that our election was stolen and there was international interference and people on our own soil are in.
