We are normally 60/40. And the age demographic skews older than you would think.

Every year at the #NewportCycleHub we fix and give away 200 bikes - thats now 1500 bikes given away over the last 7 years. Those we can't fix, we strip for reusable parts. Tyres, tubes and metal all recycled - moved with our e-cargo bike - which is available for hire @SpokeSafe

My volunteers at #NewportCycleHub underneath @SpokeSafe in Newport have set up this workstation - a table found in the street, and an old table tennis table drilled and cable tied. Reusing is in the heart of the project which refurbs bikes as a wellbeing project for refugee men

7 volunteers fixed 8 donated bikes today at the #NewportCycleHub underneath @spokesafe Newport, ready to give away on Thursday - and stripping parts from irrepairable bikes for reuse. All metal, tyres and tubes are recycled, with just plastic going to landfill.
