The @SpfldCollege Class of 2020 has started to make their way home. Here's English/@COSJatSC major and Sigma Tau Delta member receiving his well-earned honors cord. He also returned Professor Lartigue's copy of Hamlet.

@COSJatSC major @irenerrotondo couldn't have done a better job introducing Dr. Gounder at last night's Arts & Humanities Speakers Series. She made our department very proud!

Members of ENGL 377: History of the English Language tried on replica armor like that depicted in the Bayeux Tapestry which commemorates the momentous historical events of 1066, which catalyzed a number of radical changes to the English language. The masks are a nice touch!

We had a great time meeting with potential @SpfldCollege students at Sunday's Open House! Fingers crossed that some of yesterday's new faces join our community next fall.

On Thursday night, members of the campus community gathered (safely) for a phenomenal reading by our own Professor @jsdymond. Can you spot the alums in the crowd?

Students in Professor @jsdymond 's Reading and Writing Fiction class got a chance to embrace the more playful side of writing at Samuel Bolden Park, a wonderful new addition to the SC neighborhood.

We are very excited about this event. For a preview of Dr. Gonzales' work, check out his Poets page: poets.org/poet/jose-b-gonzal…. If you can't make it to campus, you can watch his reading here: youtu.be/bt8iSxEkRZI

The hats and the masks make us a little inconspicuous, but we're thrilled to be back!

@TheSpfldStudent 's faculty and staff have been hard at work on the first issue of the 2021 school year. We can't wait for it to hit Alden Street!
