#Smog| Punjab’s stubble-burning incidents have reportedly fallen from 70,000 in 2021 to 5,000 in 2025, as the state targets zero stubble burning by 2030.
But tight harvesting windows and machinery shortages continue to push farmers towards burning crop residue, keeping concerns over Delhi’s winter air pollution alive. Can Punjab bridge the gap between its targets and ground realities?
