Huge thanks to @AFC1903analysis for reminding me of other sites exist😅 Not perfect and a bit rough but its for Saints fans so hopefully has some value to those interested. Can try to add things if somethings missing, and will tinker constantly anyway stjohnstoneanalysis.co.uk/

Was overly negative towards Steward, entirely due to getting overly frustrated with the way the match was going as id built it up as so important, so here's some positivity about him. Tops the 3 main goalkeeping metrics for us since 20/21, despite also being the youngest

Interesting that goals we've conceded in our last two games are similar? - Wide defender gets ball, we press, they play it past our midfield to striker, Diabate pushed as high as CMs following attacker, other CB has to defend massive space v another attacker, CMs cant get back

2008 | A large away crowd see St Johnstone go top of Division One with a 2-1 win against Dunfermline. A Martin Hardie free kick had given Saints an early lead and a stunning strike from Liam Craig earned all three points. 🎬> youtube.com/watch?v=zKjWKdGw…

In 18/19 we beat Dundee 4 times out of 4 without conceding a single goal, but our league record since is dreadful Only home win since was Oct 2021 Dundee sit deep and that makes them one of the best defensive sides, who also rank 2nd attacking/defending corners/counters

Yet another brave defensive display, but midfield done so much work despite disadvantages in there numbers wise. Schmidt was impressive too.

The heart in this team is just fucking stupid now, absolutely unbelievable group. Please, please, just stop making these stupid mistakes that force you to *have* to dig that deep. Simos half time change got it spot on. Cotterill superb,

Goalkeeper costing us games Defenders unable to do the basics Cannot score without conceding straight after All of these got us relegated just a season ago. They cannot be repeated and it must be better. If these players can't do that then they can't be here.

Incredibly tired of Fowler getting a 1v1 situation with a quicker/stronger CB and responding by just falling over.

Corners bring prizes against Kilmarnock.
Kilmarnock struggled all season a bit and look the weakest side defensively. They've been particularly weak at corners especially, conceding 5 goals in the first 11 games. Central areas seem particularly hard for them. Diabate v Stanger in a central area = goal?

This group shown so much grit/guts this season you cannot rule them salvaging something out, but an absolutely mammoth task now when it shouldn't have been. Error of such a level that Sinclair might not have a genuine shot for being number one for a run of games now.

Tony Steward with one of the stupidest things I've ever seen a goalkeeper do. Having to play, at least, 80 minutes at least a man down because he didn't know where the box was.

The last time Mikulic played for us regularly in the top flight... Pleased he's back as it'll give more balance to the backline with a left footer, and I'm still convinced he's our best CB anyway

Again just out of interest looking at each club and how their managers have changed since last season. For Old Firm clubs it's worth looking at the numbers a bit more since the "minimum level" will always make them look "good" and close to a better OF manager. 1/12

Rangers. Martin one where my point about a bad OF manager still looking good comes in. Aside from completing passes he was awful. Rohl seems like a worse McInnes, and interesting neither could get dangerous counters going or 2nd ball wins?

St Mirren. Craig McLeish with a style change from Robinson and still very early doors on how that'll go. So far so good in a lot of ways but need to sort the defence out.
