Correct.
You know what would fix this? An acceptable level of public violence.

This is incredibly wholesome.
He’s still here. He’s got a fan club. Including us.

I got my son to do the last round of the kettlebell circuit with me, and then he did a loaded carry with the empty trap bar to the end of the driveway and back. "That hurts my hands." "We need to toughen you up!"
Working out in the driveway while my wife cuts grass.

At least this guy recognizes that he is a citizen but not an American.

My daughter has started doing the little tap-tap-tap when she gives hugs, and it is the sweetest thing. Just adorable.

This is a big part of why the "they're just as American as you and me" rings so hollow. I share no ethnic or cultural background with these people, and they are openly hostile to our way of life. He is neither American by blood nor by belief.
Recent immigrants and even most libtards genuinely believe that our bedrock civil liberties must be carefully weighed against their feelings. This is one reason why rabid anti-immigration policies and reverse migration are imperative. These people don't *get* America at all.

These things are genuinely bad, and we should try to minimize them, but the left and half the right have shown that if we allow exceptions, they will exploit them. He's a Christian. He's married to an American. His children have American citizenship. He hasn't committed any other crimes. He's been here a long time. She's pregnant. I'm sorry. Immigration enforcement has been a joke my entire life. We're trying to fix that. But we can't let people like this who say, "Well I support enforcing our laws EXCEPT..." because they will find exceptions to let everyone stay.

The federal government is suing CA for voter fraud, MN is charging O'Keefe and Higby for exposing how easy it is to commit fraud there, and Ds in AK seem to have interfered with an election. Rs decided this was preferable to passing the SAVE Act, so we have Paxton.
If Talarico wins it will be because Paxton was a ruinously flawed candidate who should not have been the nominee. Complaining about the voters is for losers.

Each day I review my Jira tickets for work that I think can be automated. If so, I add a specific label to the ticket. Each night, I have a scheduled workflow that scans my Jira tickets, looks for that label, creates a local worktree, and creates an implementation plan. If the ticket can be implemented by touching 3 or fewer files, not including new tests, it will go ahead and implement it and create a PR. If not, it stops after creating the plan. After processing everything, it creates a report with the status of all the tickets. When I start my day, I review any PRs and address any issues. Then I review the plans of the tickets that couldn't be implemented. If I'm satisfied and it's still a smaller fix, I'll add a second label to the ticket. These will be picked up in a second nightly run, implemented, and have PRs created. This has allowed me to focus on the more complex tasks during the day. Some I still have too many agents running, but this has been a major improvement .
i'm just gonna say it cause no one else is saying it. i hate running 15 agents. i hate this level of context-switching. i miss going deep on things

Told you.
You’re remarkably quick to invoke the First Amendment when someone is accused of directing xenophobic abuse at a man of Indian descent, yet conspicuously less vocal about the equal standing of the Americans subjected to that racism. You are simply more outraged by the prospect of someone being held accountable for racist conduct than by the racism itself.

Great news, everyone! It looks like they made the Black Cherry a permanent option instead of just a summer flavor, and it has 20 pouches instead of 15. Join me in celebrating this momentous occasion.

My grandpa had Alzheimer's and got to where my grandma couldn't take care of him, so she had to put him in a home. I was living Germany, but I got to come home and see him one last time, and it was pretty heart breaking. I felt guilty for wanting him to pass on, because he was no longer living in any sense of the word. End of life care is pretty rough.
When people talk about assisted living it's clear that they're imagining basically healthy -- just older -- people living full lives in managed spaces. To be fair, this is also how it's depicted in TV and movies. This is not what nursing homes are actually like, to state the obvious. Healthy, functioning people do not typically enter nursing facilities to live for long stretches. They live alone or with family. The people in nursing home typically require significant monitoring and care and by the time it comes to that, what happens is that they spend down their assets until Medicaid takes over, and you're thankful for it, because they require more care than you could possibly give. This is just the reality of the situation.
