BREAKING NEWS!!
The #Colts have traded DT DeForest Buckner to the #49ers for a 4th round pick, @MikeGarafolo

DT DeForest Buckner's the next obvious Colt to watch. Like Quenton Nelson, he's got a reasonable base salary (Nelson was $16M, Buckner's is $13M), and is in the last year of his deal—which will affect the return a bit.
Buckner's 32, but is still a really good player.

Just an FYI if Indy is willing to move on from one of the best offensive line in football, don’t be surprised if Jonathan Taylor is also on the block

The #Colts surely aren’t done but that doesn’t mean everything must go. Jonathan Taylor isn’t a lock to be traded. Agree with @AdamSchefter here — as of now, looking like a no. But still two weeks left for things and minds to change.

The former Oklahoma star was a healthy scratch on Sunday, but was very productive last season — recording 8 TFLs and 4.5 sacks. His 86 tackles were the most-ever by a Raiders’ DL over the first 2 years.

The Quenton Nelson deal reminds me so much of the Leonard Williams trade that John Schneider made 3 years ago this week.
Similar age, experience, needing a new contract and with good years still ahead. Going to love the change to a better organization

I criticized the Colts for the worst trade of 2025, giving up two firsts for Sauce Gardner.
But getting a 3rd (and a 5th) for Nelson on an expiring contract -- they were going to lose him in two months regardless -- is good work by their front office.

#Colts OC Jim Bob Cooter, asked what Daniel Jones needs to improve to get back to his 2025 pre-injury level:
"Overall as an offense, we all gotta do a better job. I gotta do a better job, shoot, putting plays on the sheet that give him and our guys a better chance to succeed."

We have signed CB Kenneth Harris to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and placed CB Cam Taylor-Britt on IR.
We have also signed CB Shemar Bartholomew and CB Natrone Brooks to the practice squad.

#Colts WR Josh Downs has been the subject of trade talks… would be a big-time addition👇👇👇
"I think the players that could be on the move for the Colts are DeForest Buckner, Josh Downs, and Grover Stewart..
DeForest Buckner is the one that I think will be dealt next" ~ @AdamSchefter #PMSLive

It’s just the start. I’m truly curious if they’ll trade Jonathan Taylor and what that would bring.

I get that JT is a franchise icon.
But you can't hold onto an aging RB just because you like him.
The next relevant Colts team is likely years away at this point.

"The sell-off begins..."
"That's some decent compensation for a guard, even a top guard."
