Of all the people the government could pick on. The women (for the vast majority) taking care of our littles when we’re at work. 😐

James Talarico is type one diabetic and talks about putting his insulin on his credit card after being diagnosed. I’m so happy Texas chose him. #t1d

Having lived in DC, Rochester NY and Boston - the Democrats are a bit right of the former Progressive Conservatives. Iy shouldn’t be surprising many Canadian conservatives are happy with the results.
If you are a Canadian conservative and you’re celebrating the Democrats’ midterm victory — you need to give your head a shake. You are cheering for socialism & wokeism. That’s what the Democratic Party stands for.

My family is a part of the blue wave in NJ. Congratulations @sofus72 !
Some fun election news you almost certainly missed: My brother-in-law Kris won a seat on Westwood, NJ's Borough Council last night! As of yesterday, the six-person council had five Republicans and only one Democrat; now it has two.

I am again finding the US colours of government very stressful while watching their election results coming in.

🤬😡🤬 We're still not mad enough! This government has gone overboard, he's hurt millions of Ontarians. He hasn't done one positive thing to help the majority, its just one brutal hit after another, for 8 years. He's beating the 💩 out of so many #Ontarians 👶👦👧🏼👩‍💻🧑‍💻🧑‍🎓🤱👵

The people (mostly women) who work with our youngest learners. Time and time again this government has shown it doesn't value educators. At what point will people say enough? #onted

Another bombshell on the billion dollar OSAP scandal. Over 8,300 OSAP applications came from just THREE IP addresses. The Ford government was warned as early as 2023 and received over 220 tips, complaints and referrals since January 2024. They had the warnings. They refused to act until Oct 2026. Now students are paying the price. We need a full forensic audit. cp24.com/politics/queens-par… #onpoli

One of the weirdest parts of parenting a child with a severe disability is just bopping about your day with them and then suddenly thinking: “what happens when I can’t drive anymore?” or “what happens if I get hurt and can’t help him get dressed?” #autism

I spent last week with my 82 year old mum who has had some health issues in the past few years and I think that’s made me hyper aware of where we might be in the future.

I try very hard not to live in the future because when I do I spiral very quickly and have a hard time recovering. I’m still not used to my new normal of being scared about the future. #autism

I decided to lead test a bunch of vintage things I have bought recently. The only thing to test positive were the late 1960s drinking glasses from Esso. (Which in my mind makes sense that a gas company would give kids lead poisoning in many ways).

I’ve been told it’s probably the paint on the outside but still - They will be decorative in my sewing studio in the attic far away from anyone tempted to use them as a glass.

When I think of Patrick Stewart, it's not Captain Picard or Professor X that springs to mind. It's this quote. May he rest in peace.

One of these yolks is not like the others. The girl and I decided to compare three farm eggs with one from the supermarket. The supermarket yolk was a lot lighter - this picture doesn’t do the difference justice
My gps took me in a very odd route from Toronto to Ottawa today but I did pass a farm stand with very cool eggs for sale.
