Managed to eat half of a portion of GF Lasagna. I've definitely not got my appetite back fully yet. But it was tasty and Mr B polished it off so no waste.
Phone call from the GP surgery.
"We need to book some blood tests"
Me : "what for?"
"I don't know"
"Well it might have to be a few weeks because I think the NHS has taken most of my good stuff over the last week"
And home! Hurrah!
I'm sure hospital days are twice as long as normal ones. It feels like it's midnight!

Trying to get out of this hospital is even more difficult that getting in. Still waiting for discharge papers since 11am. Why they choose rush hour I do not know.

Last night my cannula fell out of my hand completely accidentally. It took 4 different nurses and a Doctor to put a new one in on the other hand
This morning a magic smiley Polish nurse pressed my inner elbow lightly a couple of times, put the butterfly needle in and drew 2
Having a chat with one of the Indian hcas and he was telling me about Banana Stem which they buy in Asian supermarkets and use in cooking and is a natural ingredient to help with getting rid of kidney stones.
You live and learn eh?

Choosing what you want for lunch at 9am is odd. Right now I'm a bit nauseous and they gave an antiemetic and have only managed a 2" bit of banana for breakfast.
Nothing on the gf lunch menu looks appealing.
To be fair the food whilst unimaginative hasn't tasted bad.

I can't get into some of these contestants this year. Really not sure who I'm rooting for at all.

Readers I was not allowed home but have been moved to a private new room because I'm stable...it's so quiet 馃か
Apparently my kidney function is much improved so as soon as they've checked the this morning's bloods I should be going home later. Everything 馃馃徏
They've told me that I could possibly be discharged today but have just hooked me up to 6 hour drip - I don't think it's going to be today personally but time will tell!
It's been an eventful couple of days.
After a couple of days of feeling very poorly I had a very bad night throwing up and we called 111. It took them 5 hours for them to decide we needed to get me to a&e.
I was there for 8 hours being prodded and jabbed and having all the tests
That's when they decided that the kidney stone operation that I should have had approx 5 months ago was more than needed.
So I was transferred to the bigger hospital and I went down to surgery at 11pm last night.
It's been an on and off night but I've got tea so that's good.
