2nd grade learned about composite shapes, architecture, and bridges from around the world. They built their own stable, free-standing bridges using @strawbees that could withstand quick stress-tests! @EWRSDK12 @NicoleFoulksEMK @mr_mtozzi #STEM4Them

1sts and 2nds celebrated #internationaldotday by being creative with the 12 Dot Challenge from @carlyandadam and then used @quivervision to see their best dot in AR! Kinders used fine motor skills to build rainbow dot chains! @EWRSDK12 @NicoleFoulksEMK @mr_mtozzi #STEM4Them

Ks rocked these @LEGO_Group challenge cards (and also got stronger fingers from all the disassembling later lol). Gotta make time for sharing ideas, creativity, and play! #STEM4Them @EWRSDK12 @NicoleFoulksEMK @mr_mtozzi
1sts and 2nds got movin' with @strawbees ~ We learned about composite shapes and 3D shapes. Vertices=connectors. Edges=straws. Then applied all that to building something that moves, spins, swings, etc! #STEM4Them @EWRSDK12 @NicoleFoulksEMK @mr_mtozzi
Ks used @Wikkistix to design creatively with details and colors after we read "Not A Stick." Then they practiced teamwork and following instructions by using @LEGO_Education blocks to build+test pinwheels! @EWRSDK12 #STEM4Them @NicoleFoulksEMK @mr_mtozzi
2nds hopped their final hurdle and finished their obstacle courses! They had to follow the EDP, stick to their plans, and use paper attachment strategies and a bunch of other materials~ So proud of the Ss who helped others out!! @EWRSDK12 #STEM4Them @NicoleFoulksEMK @mr_mtozzi
