Leah Willersdorf - Stenographer in Europe

Ever watched a courtroom drama & noticed a bored-looking woman tapping on a strange-looking contraption? Well, that’s what stenographers do! This vid taken of my fingers in action y’day just goes to show that there’s a little more to it! #MyStenoStyle #FastFingersFlyin #lovesteno

Happy Global Champagne Day 🥂 (The 4th Friday of every October) You don’t need a reason 🥂 Cheers to good health, lifelong happiness, to love that is truly meaningful, to friends and family🥂 Happy Friday, folks 🥂 #GlobalChampagneDay #ChampagneDay #champagne #ChampagneLover

The Final Goodbye. Thank you, Queen Elizabeth II. You are greatly admired, loved by many, and sorely missed already. Rest in peace, your Majesty, next to your beloved, Philip. God save the King. 👑🇬🇧🤍🕊🌍

Was honoured to share my social media post about Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II when asked by the @NCRA. #QueenElizabethII #HerMajesty #ThankYou

Thank you, Queen Elizabeth II. You are greatly admired, loved by many, and sorely missed. Rest in peace, your Majesty, next to your beloved, Philip. God save the King.

Delighted to hear this! Thanks, @Intersteno!! 🌍🇦🇺🇬🇧🌍

These machines are our tools of the trade. But don’t forget what goes on under the hood: ears; brains; fingers; eyes. It’s way more than being expressionless & just typing. This is not “just” anything, other than just the best profession in the world, of course! #CRCW2022 #steno

Happy Court Reporting & Captioning Week! Interested in tap-tap-tapping away on a weird-looking machine, having a front-row seat to history, meeting people from all walks of life & travelling around the world? Ask me how!! #CRCW2022 #CourtReporting #steno #captioning #LoveMyJob

Tuesday’s episode of this fantastic podcast featured three somewhat quieter courtroom roles, including we #CourtReporters. Thanks @SYSKPodcast for spotlighting #TheBestProfessionInTheWorld! #CourtReporting #Stenographer #MagicalHumanBeings #RealtimeTranscription #SpeedDemons

“For Outstanding Contribution to the Profession” - congratulations, Mary @marysorene, and thank you. It is an honour to know you.

I’m looking forward to my second radio interview with Al Betz on @StenographersWo!! Join us on Saturday, 10 July @ 3pm - 4pm British Summer Time, 4pm - 5pm Central European Summer Time! #InternationalCourtReporting #CourtReporting #CourtReporter #Stenographer #LoveMyJob

The Spring edition of @JournalTiro is full of interesting and informative articles. Here’s mine!! #ThatWasThenThisIsNow #CourtReporter #CourtReporting #CourtReporterEurope #RemoteCourtReporting #stenographer #BIVRmember #depositions #InternationalArbitration #captioning #steno

What a pleasant way to read the @NCRA’s June edition of “Journal of Court Reporting” - on the balcony of my hotel on a glorious Friday afternoon in Africa with a glass of chilled rosé, with Mt Meru in the distance. 🇹🇿 #stenotravels #courtreporting #courtreporter #stenographer

I was equally as delighted to be a contributor to the international periodical that is #TiroJournal. This is a great, informative read of how things are done in other parts of the world than your own!

This little piece of wonderfully weird machinery deserves a filter or two (or maybe three) every now and then, especially in a little corner of Africa 🇹🇿 #MtMeru #Stenographer #Stenography #CourtReporter #CourtReporting #verbatim #realtime #transcription #words @StenographLLC

It’s 10 yrs since I began serving on BIVR Council @BIVR_TWEETS. Giving back to the stenography profession by volunteering for such a role allows you to be involved in driving the profession forward & implementing change. Often rewarding, sometimes stressful but always enjoyable!

It’s a whole entire month of a celebration of certifications @NCRA!! 🥳 #NCRAcertified #CertsMatter #lovemyjob #lovemycareer #stenographer #stenography #courtreporter #courtreporting #verbatim #everyword #BIVRmember @BIVR_TWEETS

Delighted to be speaking at this event in the Philippines. Providing #realtime transcription across the globe can be challenging, demanding, and harrowing, but it’s edge-of-your-seat exciting and eye-opening. A stenographer. That’s me. Come join our ranks! #CourtReporting

Looking forward to this!! #TiroJournal
