You never need to “just man up”. It’s #MensHealthWeek and we’re here to remind you it’s okay to reach out. You’re no less of a man by opening up ✊🏾 Big thanks to katies.self.care.diaries for this important illustration 🤍

There's a subtle implication in society that the achievements of #pregnant women and mothers are superior to those who have not borne children. We celebrate #fertility -as we have for time immemorial. But to taint the equally astounding work of #childless #women is simply wrong

Wondering if there would be appetite for a zoom on ageing without children for gerontologists & researchers interested in the topic? #BSG2020 #gerotwitter @nchadborn @HydeM1976 @SallyRichards4 @TomScharfNcl @GerontologyUK @AWOCUK

Whereas women without children would not have bothered?? So tired of this nonsense!!!
Can you imagine how President Hillary Clinton - a Woman with a powerful mind - would have handled this pandemic? Being a mother and grandmother, she would’ve instinctively taken care of the public health of the people of the United States.

1/2 Yesterday was a rubbish day full of grief, sadness and longing to hold our child, a longing that I know won't be fulfilled. It ended up a being a lonely sofa & tv day. Today, with my wife, I had a small walk in the sun & rain. Being in the open space & breathing helped me ...

I love this interpretation of barren "... if you think of it as a desert, it has oases. It is a place of solitude and sometimes wisdom". #widom #wise #differentmindset #planb #mondaythoughts #childless #reflection
Replying to @InfertileVoices
It's not a term I like. Dictionary definition talks of producing little/no vegetation/offspring. And yet...if you think of a desert, it has oases. It is a place of solitude and sometimes wisdom.

Every single person in this article has children even though it’s people ageing without children who are 25% more likely to be in care homes. Is society incapable of empathising with older ppl unless they are reassured they matter because they’re someone’s mum or dad?

Just love this redemptive approach to US gun violence: turn the guns into garden tools, jewelry and art.
We’ve been making tons of cool stuff out of donated guns! You’ll be able to purchase these soon on our website: RAWTools.org And for every donated gun we’ll give you dibs on all these products! #BeatingGuns

We are not invisible, we are here and we deserve to be acknowledged. #WereAllInThisTogether #Parents #childlfree #childless
Ppl ageing without children are both more likely to be carers for their own parents and more likely to be in care homes but are scarcely mentioned in Covid19 coverage. Perhaps @guardian could consider covering them @byameliahill ?

Older ppl are not necessarily “someone’s mum or sad, grandparent, aunt or uncle” but they still matter! Framing older ppl only in terms of family connections perpetuates they myth that 1. All older ppl have family and 2. Others those that don’t
