Fun to briefly crash the @AWTours @TheEES members’ tour led by @CGraves88 this morning!
Hope you all enjoy the new @EgyptianMuseumC walking trail!!
Sit down outside for a quick breather before a lecture and this beauty appears from the bushes and climbs into my lap 😍🐈
@dai_weltweit Kairo #cairocats – at Cairo, Egypt
I think someone might be jealous 👀😒🐈

Last night at @TheEES Cairo lecture, @CGraves88 demonstrated that, once again, there is so much more to learn about our founder Amelia Edwards. Visually and intellectually stimulating and nice to see @Beket_Aten pop up too!
Thanks to @essamnagy678 & @BritishCouncil for hosting!
Back in Cairo after a whirlwind weekend in Alexandria - which included a Friday stroll with @CGraves88 around the city, including a visit to the Serapeum. – at Alexandria, Egypt
Sunday started with the loveliest visit to the National Museum of Alexandria with curator @DinaGohar7. An amazing museum, collection, building (a palace!) - and great cats 🐈 ☺️ – at Alexandria, Egypt
Despite the cold and wet weather, it was so lovely to revisit Alexandria (13 years since my last visit!) and see many old friends (incl @ziad_morsy, @DinaGohar7, & @Ahmed78Mansour) and make many new ones! Thanks for the hospitality, Alexandria! Inshallah, see you again soon! – at Alexandria, Egypt
Final stop was the ever awe inspiring @bibalexOfficial for a tour hosted by former @TheEES scholar @Ahmed78Mansour. Over 4 million books plus so much more. Very privileged to see the newly acquired handwritten dictionaries of Ahmed Kamal Bey. – at Alexandria, Egypt
Happy #Caturday from the Alexandria @Graecoromanegy collection of the cats of the Boubasteion!

Was such an honour to work with 10 amazing Egyptian scholars and the @EgyptianMuseumC to have a Walking Trail exhibition in Egypt’s “Mother Museum”. Was a lot of work but really proud to see @theEES banners welcoming all the visitors to the museum!
We're delighted to launch a walking trail in the @EgyptianMuseumC highlighting 12 discoveries made during @TheEES excavations since 1882.
10 early-career Egyptian scholars, participants of our Egyptological Archives Skills School, researched the panels.

Really enjoyable visit to @AUC_RBSCL to meet with Amr Kamel and view some of the huge and amazing collection of rare books and archive - much of the archive focussing on documents and work of some of the most prolific Egyptian Egyptologists.

The preparations continue! Meeting at the @EgyptianMuseumC this afternoon to discuss logistics. Watch this space to see what we’ve been up to! 👀
@TheEES
Spent a lovely morning at @ifaocaire printers, including seeing their impressive museum of 100+ yr old Egyptological printing presses. Spot the scarab type! 🪲

Really happy to see the much more comprehensible style guide for the Journal of Egyptian Archaeology come into effect in this issue. Well done @TheEES, Claudia Naeser & @Steph_Boonstra! 👏🤓
