My only other thought on this is that Scal said this hours ago. I used to listen to that show on my morning commute when I had Sirius so I know it’s on early. It’s been out there all day but it took one random listener to make it gain traction. I guess SIRIUS NBA has no juice lol
I want to believe that Scal is smart enough to know that making something like this up - or even just sharing unvetted info of this magnitude - would seriously compromise his relationship with the team, and in turn would compromise his role with NBCSN.
Building a culture with a limited roster while mostly wanting to tank isn’t easy. Flores was starting to do it and Miami would probably be a contender now if management didn’t fuck up. I feel like Haffley’s words are at least resonating so we’ll see what happens
