Personal testimony from animation writer @sambissonnette on the expectations that studios have that freelancers come prepared, but without wanting to pay for it. #FreelanceNotFreeWork

Countdown begins! 🎬🍿 The alchemy of narrative is it’s ability to bend the world to its own truth, whether real or imagined. But a documentary? It's a mirror held up to reality, challenging hearts & minds, daring us to see the world and each other anew. Join us on this journey.

I see a lot of energy online about striking, which is great. A lot of people who are in TAG have never been to a union meeting, and I really think they should go—I used to complain about the union until I got more involved and started to understand how labor movements work.

Hi, all. I write jokes for TV, but not long ago I was a financial analyst. I had my Series 7. For those who say Fran Drescher or any SAG-AFTRA member should stop whining and appreciate what they have, let me give you a lesson in capitalism. 🧵

“I urge us striking at the same time as the writers to change the awful inequity of money and power in film and television. I remember when we went on strike in 1960, the only time writers and actors struck at the same time. That strike got us film residual checks.  A monumental change. This moment is important and unusual, not to be missed.” -Lois Smith,  SAG-AFTRA member

TAG and #Powerhouse have reached a historic voluntary agreement! This marks a significant moment for #animation as Texas becomes the 1st Right-to-Work state & 2nd state outside of CA to have union-represented animation workers. Let's celebrate! Congrats to our newest colleagues!
