I'm seriously thinking about giving Twitter a rest for a week to see how I do. Will I be happier? Will I go through withdrawals? Will I miss people or conversations?

Trump is just one guy but also, he isn't. He ushered in a meaner, less ethical group of congresspersons, state, regional, and municipal politicians all over the country. He gave a proof of concept that pandering to the lowest common denominator is a winning strategy.

Being a Christian and being a Jesus-follower doesn't seem to be the same thing anymore. One is commitment to an American way of life. The other is commitment to a Sermon-on-the-Mount way of life.
