Follow to yesterday’s issues — Knicks issue a second statement from MSGS spokesperson:
“There is a great deal of misinformation regarding the championship rings. The plan has always been to distribute more than 275 rings and jewelry to the people in the organization who were part of last season’s success. As is common with many teams, the players were always supposed to get their rings as part of the opening night ceremony and then everyone else will receive theirs in about 4-6 weeks. Regarding the phishing email, the process of securing and reminding our employees to protect our IP was not a mistake but the choice to use the ring to do so was a mistake and we apologize to our employees and the fans.
Winning the championship was a great moment for all New Yorkers. Those who choose to focus on the negative are missing the joy that comes with the team’s accomplishment.”

Amen Thompson is the only NBA player in the last 25 seasons to have a game-winning block (block on game-tying or go-ahead shot) in the final five seconds of a game against a player at least nine inches taller than them.
Tough schedule, but Knicks are the first defending champs to start 0-2 since the Dallas Mavericks in 2011-12.
Mitch has arrived -- smothers a KAT drive and then a one-handed finish of a lob for a 12-point Boston lead.
Knicks were 6-for-9 from 3 in the third, but 2-for-10 inside the arc and had 6 turnovers in the period. Now trail 83-73 heading to the fourth quarter.
Queta hitting a 3 shots how the Celtics get leads. Queta taking 3's also shows you how the Celtics blow leads.
Deuce McBride just had the healthiest looking play he's had since the trade deadline last season -- anticipated defensively, great steal and save behind the back, finishes with a 3 on the other end of the break.
Ed Flynn is now 1-1 on challenges (and I thought the first was questionable and the Knicks won it, thought the second was clear and they lost it).
Odd Knicks stat of the night -- without Mitchell Robinson anymore, we are midway through the third quarter and the Knicks only two blocked shots belong to ... Jalen Brunson.
Odd challenge -- Brunson looks like he got ball but if they rule it a jump I don't like his chances in a jump ball with PG. If they rule it no jump then it would be Knicks ball.
Knicks playing much. more aggressively than opening night -- up 27-26 after one. It's Celtics centers with early foul trouble -- 2 each on Robinson and Queta (and Tatum). KAT with 8 points and 4 rebounds. McBride 8 points off the bench.
Towns already has played more than twice as many minutes as he had in the first half Tuesday -- no fouls (and he's been isolated on Tatum a couple of times) newsday.com/sports/columnist…
That Robinson offensive rebound and putback, yeah, familiar. newsday.com/sports/columnist…
