14/05/2025 – I happened upon @StevenPSmith37 today while he was in the middle of a fabulous first rendering of the chippy. We’d never met before — and yes, we talked a lot about light.

If someone is falling behind in life, you don't have to remind them. Believe me, they already know. If someone is unhealthy, they know. If someone is struggling in their relationships, with money, with self-image, they know.
It's what consumes their thoughts each day. What you need to do for those who are struggling is not to reprimand, but to encourage. Tell them what's good about their lives, and show them the potential that you see. Love them where they are.
When we can't see clearly for ourselves, we need others to speak greatness over us. People don't need you to tell them what is wrong with their lives, they already know. They need you to reassure them they can still make it right.
Not sure where I saw this but it’s absolutely amazing & so so true.
Be someone’s beacon of light & hope tonight ❤️❤️
Be you. Do you. For you.❤️

The ever popular @StevenPSmith37 is back in the Gallery with six new paintings. Known for his lush tones and use of raking light, Smith captures a moment in time almost like a memory. His city scenes usually include figures who wander in and out of the frame.
