More than 400,000 people have signed a petition urging Sony and Bungie to develop Destiny 3 after Bungie ended active development of Destiny 2 with its final major update in June and shifted its focus to Marathon.
The petition, launched by @LUCKYY10P, argues that after more than a decade of the Destiny franchise, players deserve a true sequel that will "keep the fire of the Guardian spirit alive."

From what I understand Sony isn't telling Bungie they can't make Destiny 3.
They are not greenlighting the budget Bungie is requesting to make Destiny 3, which very likely goes well past $400/500 million.
Seems Sony isn't willing to take any more financial risks on Bungie.

I just cancelled my Playstation Plus subscription. I can't give any more money to a company that has its priorities so backwards. I had great respect for @hermenhulst from his days at Guerrilla, but ending support for Destiny 2 and now laying off almost all of the team 🧵
