Man, nothing better than an NFL Sunday at a college baseball game.
@StanfordBSB vs @SanJoseStateBSB at Excite Ballpark under a dusting of light clouds and cerulean skies in NorCal. This ballpark has two tons of character. Saw some good ball too. More to come.

Big Ben, coach Brown was a great spirit & rebel. OK, not great at Xs-and-Os, sure, but he could motivate his boys. BTW, I am fairly confident that I am the only dude at @D1Baseball who knows @realbenmcdonald played hoops at LSU and actually saw you play in person
@sec_d1baseball
My heart is broken for the 2nd time in the last 2 months…..we’ve lost another @LSU legend….the man that took @LSUBasketball to a different place during his time as the Head Coach. He changed my life and touched countless people. Coach Dale Brown….I love you coach. RIP #DaddyDale #4everLSU
I love the "runner" yell from the bench when the catcher throws the last warmup pitch to 2nd. That started from @UCLABaseball and a number of programs do it now. For example, most of the local LA teams do it now. Hell, @CULionsBaseball learned it from @UCIbsb & yell "runner" too
Some thoughts from the scrimmage between Vandy & Walters State:
Tim Corbin is still a fungo master.
Every time there’s a throw down in between innings, all the players on Vandy’s bench yell “runner” just like they would if it was live.
Vandy used two left fielders a couple innings for more reps reading the ball off the bat. Only one of them actually would play it live.
Walters State made Hawkins Field looks small in BP. One player hit 5 straight bombs.
Shadows during different times of the day made it tough for hitters to see spin.
Hawkins Field renovations will look incredible when the construction is complete.
Pitching prospect after pitching prospect out there for both teams all day long.
Perfect weather. Fun day of baseball.
Jays amongst the palm trees. You damn right I know where I will be for opening day this coming college baseball season. Isaac Wachsmann vs. his old team from The O. Two additional trips to the golden state are also on my radar. Love it.

Oh hell yeah those two leadoff hitters both impressed. Enright hit .263 in '26 but had 36 BBs/32 KOs. Vs. UCLA he hit a 2B and had a walk. Jackson was savvy w/ 2 BBs, an HBP & a SB. He also crushed a foul ball 400-some-odd feet in his first at-bat.
@LBDirtbags
@UCLABaseball
1- For @UCLABaseball vs LB, Wylan Moss dominated w/ 4Ks in 2 inns, only gave up infield 1B
2- CF starter Phoenix Call scored 3 times & stole 2 bases
3- New SS Aiden Aguayo had 3 hits incl a 2RBI double
4-Isaac Wachsmann (Creighton Xfer) flashed muscle w/ 2RBI HR
@B1G_D1Baseball
1- @LBDirtbags have 24 new players & showed some positive signs at UCLA yesterday.
2- Ex-Bruin Chris Grothues was only LB pitcher not to give up a run (3up/3down)
3- Soph Damon Valdez (hit .200 in '26) crushed a 3run HR
4- Cal Xfer Kaden Applefield started at C and hit a 2run HR
It’s a great NFL Sunday for some college baseball. Got @LBDirtbags and their 24 new players vs @UCLABaseball.

The lights are on, let’s play ball
1- @CalPolyBSB, coming off a SR slot in 2026, took down Pepperdine 3-2. Good pitching & D
2- Dante Vachini homered and earned all 3RBI
3- Arizona Xfer Roman Meyers reached base all 3 times
4- Last time we saw Laif Palmer was on the bump at 2025 CWS for OSU. He started today
1- OutSTANDing day for some college baseball at my favorite place. @PepperdineBASE vs Cal Poly
2- Leadoff man Kai Laxa led Waves at .301 last year
3- Ex UConn-Tulane RHP Jude Abbadessa tossed 3inns of 1-run ball
4- CF Joe Cardinale got on-base 2X & also robbed a HR over the wall
I fuggin' LUV coach Schrage. He's a bad-ass. His college coaching career was a bit star-crossed by unmitigated circumstances. But he is one of my faves.
We've got @ASU_Baseball being helped by @BeaverBaseball in the @MLB playoffs. Love the influence of college baseball on the bigs.

Smartest thing Pat Murphy did as manager of the Brewers was hire former Oregon State legend Pat Casey as a consultant!!! #CollegeApproachWins
For @UW_Baseball:
3B- Landon Young
SS- Slater Nunez
2B- Jack Mueller
1B- Tristan Gatchalian
C- Joe Durso
For @OregonBaseball:
3B- Tyler Wick
SS- Adrian Lopez
2B- Malosi
1B- Carter Johnstone
C- Brayden Jaksa
Those were the starters but both teams did a lot of substituting
Today was a loss to UW but @OregonBaseball saw many positives
1- Jax Giminez led off, reached base all 3 at-bats
2- Former CSUF Titan Carter Johnstone hit a 2RBI HR in his 1st AB as a Duck
3- ASU transfer Dominic Longo also went yard
4- Soph Cooper Markham hit 98 on his FB
A 12-8 win for @UW_Baseball vs Oregon in Bend
1- Leadoff man Rominic Quiban (Nevada Xfer) had 2 singles, lotta speed
2- Udub got a real gem in JC 2Bman Jack Mueller, who swatted 3 doubles
3- Mic Paul has 2 nat'l title rings & 2RBI today
4- Starter Carson Johnson was mostly solid
A great college football Saturday for some college baseball.
@UW_Baseball vs @OregonBaseball in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Trees changing color & there is still some snow on the Three Sisters mtns beyond LF. Pretty big crowd too. A nice Bodhizafa IPA helps.

It's Buckeye time for the baseball team at @OhioStateBASE. A team to watch for 2027.
Nick Swisher talked about the massive culture shift under @JHaire03, the rising trajectory of Ohio State Baseball, and why it's time for this squad to chase Omaha.
His message to @OhioStateBASE:“Y'all go for that. Leave your mark.”
