After US Result: Democrats won BOTH House + Senate - Trump is now officially Lame Duck / Weak for next 2 years: *PROS for India / Market:* 1. *Market UP:* Weak Trump = less tariff threats. Indian export stocks (IT, Pharma, Textile) will rally. Nifty likes it. 2. *Dollar Weak, Rupee Strong:* Democrats will block harsh trade policies, dollar may fall. Means FII money will come back to India. 3. *H1B / IT Relief:* Democrats are softer on H1B visa than MAGA. Infosys, TCS, Wipro get benefit. 4. *No Trade War Tension:* Trump can't put 100% tariff on India easily without Congress support. *CONS for India:* 1. *Policy Paralysis in US:* US Congress vs President fight for 2 years, US economy slows down. US is our biggest export market - bad for us. 2. *Defence Deals Delay:* Any big defence deal / tech transfer (F-414 engine, drones) needs Congress nod - it will get stuck. 3. *Market Volatility:* 2 years of investigations, impeachment drama = global market will be volatile. Short term crashes. 4. *Less Focus on China+1:* Trump was pushing companies out of China to India. No funding for his MAGA projects, Wall etc. 3. *Faces Impeachment Risk:* Democrats can start investigations and even move impeachment. 4. *Can't appoint Judges/Officials freely:* Senate will block his picks. 5. *Can't do big foreign deals:* Trade deals, war funding needs Parliament nod. In short: He will stay in the White House, sign Executive Orders, but Parliament and Courts can overturn them.
