Halloween Trick Or Treat Forecast Update A cloudy and warm day is still expected Halloween Saturday with highs in the mid 70s. Cloudy and upper 60s for the Trick or Treat hours, but there could also be some scattered light showers. Both long range global forecast models suggest a gradual increase in scattered showers during the evening, then a more widespread chance late night and into Sunday. It's still early and a lot could still change. I will keep you updated in the days ahead! #CHAwx #Chattanooga

A Possibly Wetter Pattern To Begin November We could finally get a reversal of this dry weather pattern just as November begins. The 6-10 day outlook from the Climate Prediction Center projects above normal rainfall for the first week of the month. #CHAwx #Chattanooga

Trick Or Treat Forecast Update for Saturday We continue to watch for the potential for showers moving in Saturday Evening. The European Model keeps the better chance locally until around and after midnight through Sunday Morning. The GFS model is a little faster bringing showers locally before sunset Saturday. By midweek, the Saturday outlook will be in range of the higher resolution forecast models. The timing and coverage of any rain should become clearer. For now, Saturday Evening looks cloudy with temperatures in the upper 60s while keeping an eye on any showers trying to move in. #CHAwx #Chattanooga

The weekly Drought Monitor update shows that a large part of our viewing area is in the D0 to D1 Drought level (Dry to Moderate). Parts of the Plateau and westward into Middle Tennessee are D2-D3 (Severe to Extreme Drought) Rainfall for the year at the Chattanooga airport is about 9.5" below average. The longer range rainfall trends into the first week of November project a gradually wetter pattern could evolve locally and across the Southeast. #CHAwx #Chattanooga
