Two clocks run here. Only one expires.
The position has no deadline. @2FactorFinance's public beta is live on Base: Kelly-optimized leverage for buy-and-hold investors, Bitcoin first and Coinbase's tokenized stocks next. The leveraged side carries no liquidation risk; the protected side absorbs the deep downside.
The season does expire. Marks come from verified actions only, so no purchase, deposit or holding earns one. Season One of the Points Program ends when the product launches, the leaderboard freezes, and the top ten split 1 BTC in cbBTC.
Nothing you own earns a Mark, so the clocks do not touch. You cannot buy standing on the board, and the board cannot change whether the position was right. If deliberate, it is the sharpest thing here: a program that refuses to pay for capital refuses to let capital decide your holding.
Marks are also not evidence the mechanism works. They end with a launch date. Whether leverage survives being held will still be open after the board is gone.

In our church, the usher role only comes after two years of hard work, and those two years are tracked through attendance records. The role comes with special recognition and respect.
For our ushers, the attendance record comes first and the respect follows.
I joined the @2FactorFinance Points Program, which keeps that kind of record. The leaderboard freezes on the day 2Factor Finance launches. The top 10 then share 1 BTC, paid in cbBTC, Coinbase's wrapped Bitcoin.
During Season 1, posts, education tasks and referrals each earn Marks (the season's points) once verified. Money spent, deposited or held adds none, and Marks can't be cashed out or sent to another account.
As for the product, @2factorfinance makes leverage for holding over years, cutting an asset's price swings into two pools. The junior pool holds the leverage, pays the senior pool for it and is never force-sold when prices drop. The senior pool gets strong downside protection.
On Bitcoin, the Kelly-optimized sizing rule lands near 1.33x, set by how far the asset swings and how it grows. 2Factor runs on Base, Coinbase's network, working with Coinbase. Bitcoin goes first, then Coinbase's tokenized stocks.

I've watched speedruns for years. Plenty of records come down to one glitch, rehearsed against a game that never changes.
An AI agent with one model and one filter is that game. One tweet with a command hidden in Morse code took around $200,000 from an agent like that. It's called prompt injection: orders slipped into text an AI was only meant to read.
@GenLayer's Greyboxing changes the game at every validator. Each one rewrites the input with defenses of its own before its own model sees it. What fools one meets something different at the next, and anything that slips through gets outvoted.
Watch the video, then tell me: what do you trust only because nobody has found the glitch yet?

A points leaderboard should measure participation, not the size of someone’s wallet.
That is what caught my attention when I joined @2FactorFinance Season 1.
Marks come from verified actions:
• Social activity
• Education
• Qualifying referrals
Purchasing, depositing or holding earns nothing. Marks have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are not a claim on a token or asset.
The education matters because the mechanism is not another fixed 2x product. 2Factor sizes leverage to each asset’s drift and volatility. Bitcoin’s higher volatility supports a target near 1.33x, while lower-volatility equities can support a wider productive band.
The structure divides exposure into senior and junior tranches. Junior carries the leverage without liquidation risk or an external hedging counterparty, while still bearing amplified market losses.
2Factor is live on Base and works together with Coinbase to bring Kelly-optimized leverage onchain for tokenized stocks.
When Season 1 ends at launch, the leaderboard freezes and the top 10 split 1 BTC, paid in cbBTC.

Bringing stocks onchain solved access, but it did not solve capital structure. Traditional equities inherited market hours without inheriting deep market-making liquidity.
@2FactorFinance live on Base builds that missing layer. Using Kelly optimization, leverage adapts to each asset's specific drift and volatility.
Bitcoin's high volatility caps its productive band around 1.33x, while stock volatility in the 16 to 19 percent range allows for substantially higher safe multiples.
The protocol partitions risk into a protected senior tranche and a capital-efficient junior tranche with no traditional liquidation threshold. It starts with cbBTC and moves directly into Coinbase's tokenized equities.
I entered the Season 1 Points Program to follow the beta. Marks are earned through verified education, community actions, and referrals, zero points for deposit farming. At launch, the leaderboard freezes and the top 10 split 1 BTC in cbBTC. Marks carry no cash value and create no token rights.

Our church workers run an esusu. The most senior workers pay extra and the most junior workers get it, and the seniors do it to support the juniors.
@2FactorFinance uses the same two words with the payment reversed. Its beta is now open on Base, offering long holders Kelly-optimized leverage, meaning the amount that compounds best over time. Bitcoin is first, stocks next.
The volatility of an asset is shared by two layers. The senior layer is shielded deeply against losses. The junior layer carries the extra exposure, and its holders pay a price for that leverage.
In church, help flows down out of care. In 2Factor, whoever wants more exposure pays for it. That payment is a price, not a favour.
The junior layer can't be liquidated, meaning it is never closed out automatically at a loss. On Bitcoin, its Kelly-optimized multiple is about 1.33x.
Coinbase works with 2Factor on Base, and the target after Bitcoin is Coinbase's tokenized stocks.

Where else have you seen the side that wants more pay the side that carries less risk?
Houses are given thirty years to be right. Crypto bets receive just a single bad week.
Why the gap? A mortgage strips out the margin call. Payments are fixed, values can wander for decades, and the buyer keeps living there, but most DeFi credit hands over a hard deadline.
Base is where @2FactorFinance went live, with Kelly-optimized leverage for patient users. It sorts the volatility of any instrument into two perpetual tranches:
• Senior: a heavy buffer for drops
• Junior: bigger swings, liquidation-proof, no outside hedge partner
The premium it pays upward tracks the going rate for stable yield, not what shorts charge, so upkeep stays light and predictable. Losses still land when prices fall; only the countdown goes.
That math sizes each property by how wildly it moves:
• Bitcoin, the fixer-upper: about 1.33x, as chaos around 60% crowds out growth; markets sit on testnet today
• Equities, the new build: past 3x, since calm motion at 16 to 19% leaves slack to compound
Access got solved first; shares reaching a ledger arrived with no capital structure. Coinbase works together with 2Factor Finance to bring this onchain, a good fit for the tokenized stocks ecosystem it hosts.
I took a seat in the Points Program's debut season. Marks stem from verified activity only: social, education, referrals; parked funds earn nothing. At launch the leaderboard locks and ten leaders divide 1 BTC, settled in cbBTC. Zero cash value, non-transferable.

Every leveraged product you have used had someone shorting on the other side of it.
That is where the cost comes from. Hold it long enough and the bill does damage before the market does.
@2FactorFinance just put its public beta live on Base, and it removes that counterparty. Kelly-optimized leverage for buy-and-hold investors, first Bitcoin, then stocks, built with Coinbase for its tokenized stocks ecosystem.
The design splits one asset into two perpetual tranches:
• A senior side with deep downside protection
• A junior side carrying the leverage, with no liquidation risk and nobody hedging it from outside
What the junior pays for that exposure is what the senior earns. Leverage priced against the cost of stable capital instead of the cost of shorts.
The multiple gets measured, not chosen. At Bitcoin's roughly 60 percent volatility the junior targets about 1.33x, which is why 2x and 3x BTC products decay. At equity volatility of 16 to 19 percent the band runs past 3x. Their research puts gold near 2.35x and the S&P 500 near 2.1x. Bitcoin is the hardest case, which is exactly why it is where the mechanism gets proven first.
Two things I hold them to. The junior can lose its entire value, and senior protection is a buffer rather than immunity. Cheaper leverage is still leverage.
I joined Season 1 of the Points Program to follow it. Marks come from verified social activity, education and referrals, nothing from buying, depositing or holding. Season 1 closes when 2Factor launches, the leaderboard freezes, and the top 10 split 1 BTC paid in cbBTC on a curve from 18.2 percent at rank 1 to 1.8 percent at rank 10. Marks have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are not a claim on any token or asset.

A 20% loss followed by a 20% gain doesn’t get you back to where you started.
$100 becomes $80, then $96.
That $4 gap is compounding, not a fee. Leverage can amplify that effect. Financing adds a separate cost.
@2FactorFinance approaches both by sizing exposure to the asset and changing how that exposure is financed.
Its Kelly-optimized approach considers an asset’s expected drift, volatility and financing costs. For BTC, the research targets roughly 1.33x. That’s a model-based target, not a guarantee.
The structure divides risk:
• Senior capital has a buffer against initial losses, but protection isn’t unlimited.
• Junior capital takes amplified exposure and pays a premium for leverage. It is designed without conventional forced liquidation, but can still lose value.
The capped cbBTC beta is live on Base. 2Factor says it’s working with Coinbase on applications for its tokenized-stock ecosystem. 2Factor’s tokenized-stock markets are still planned.

Leverage has always been sold to people in a hurry.
Look at how it is marketed. Fast money, bold moves, products with a clock built in. The impatient are the easy sale: they trade often, churn often, and rarely stay long enough to see what the structure costs them. The patient, the ones leverage could genuinely serve, were never the target. Nobody built for them.
Which is why the strangest line in the @2factorfinance announcement is not "live on Base." It is "for buy-and-hold investors."
Read it as a reversal. The public beta now live on Base is Kelly-optimized leverage built to be held indefinitely. First Bitcoin, then stocks, working with Coinbase as a use case for their tokenized stocks ecosystem. Every design choice in it serves someone who intends to do nothing for years.
Each asset's volatility is split into two tranches. The senior side holds deep downside protection. The junior carries the amplified exposure with no liquidation risk: no price move can force it closed, and there is no external hedging counterparty. Sizing follows the asset itself, Kelly-optimized to its own drift and volatility, about 1.33x on Bitcoin and more where assets move less. Not a number chosen for excitement. A number the asset can carry.
For decades, leverage's marketing and leverage's math pointed at different people. The marketing pointed at whoever wanted speed. The math always favored whoever had time.

Tokenized stocks inherited the opening bell and left the market makers behind.
Going onchain solved distribution, yet it skipped structure.
@2FactorFinance fills that gap on Base with Coinbase. It brings Kelly-optimized leverage by splitting an asset's price swings into two perpetual tranches:
• Senior: deep downside protection
• Junior: leveraged, no liquidation risk, no external hedging counterparty
The right multiple tracks volatility: equities, at 16 to 19%, keep the band open past 3x, but Bitcoin, at near 60%, shuts it early.
The Points Program rewards three kinds of work in Season 1:
• Social activity
• Education

I used to check funding rates the way other people check the weather. A spread I treated as background noise was, for four months, the price of someone else's conviction.
That is what leverage costs when it is priced against shorts. The people financing your position are the people betting the other way, so what you pay is a side effect of their view, not a property of what you hold.
@2FactorFinance just opened its public beta on Base, and it rebuilds that relationship from the other end. Kelly-optimized leverage for buy-and-hold investors, Bitcoin first and then stocks inside Coinbase's tokenized stocks ecosystem.
Instead of borrowing against shorts, it splits an asset's volatility into two perpetual sides. The senior side carries deep downside protection and earns the premium. The junior side carries the leverage with no liquidation risk and no external hedging counterparty, and what it pays for that protection is what prices leverage against stable capital rather than shorts.
Sizing follows the same logic, asset by asset. Bitcoin near 60 percent volatility closes the useful band early, so the junior targets about 1.33x. Equities at 16 to 19 percent stretch past 3x. Gold lands near 2.35x and the S&P 500 near 2.1x. The multiple follows the asset, not a label.
None of that cancels volatility drag. Cheaper financing cannot fix compounding mathematics, the junior side can lose its entire value, and senior protection is not unlimited. Bitcoin is the testnet proving ground, not the destination.
I joined Season 1 of the Points Program. Marks come from verified social, education and referral actions only, and no deposit, purchase or holding earns anything. Each leveraged position pays two bills. One is math. One is money. Both compound.
The math bill grows with price swings, and the money bill is the cost of the capital behind the position. Leverage only works when an asset’s long run drift outruns both.
@2FactorFinance runs on Base and works with Coinbase to bring Kelly-optimized leverage on chain, a great use case for tokenized stocks. It prices leverage against a cost that is structurally cheaper and more predictable than shorts.

• Liquidation risk
• Outside hedging counterparties
• One multiple for every asset

When fuel is scarce, the queue is not the hard part. The hard part is how much to buy. Fill every can and half of it goes stale or gets borrowed. Buy only the tank and you are back in the queue by Thursday. The right amount is set by how unpredictable supply is, not by how much you want to drive.
2Factor Finance builds leverage the same way. Each asset has a band where leverage helps, set by its volatility. Bitcoin at about 60 percent supports around 1.33x. Equities at 16 to 19 percent support more than 3x. Most products fill every can at 3x and call the spillage your problem.

Leverage always needs a second party. Conventionally that is a short seller, paid to hold the opposite view until the fee stops being worth it.
@2FactorFinance pairs the asset with itself instead. One asset is split into two claims on the same volatility. The senior claim wants the path muted, with deep downside protection built in. The junior claim wants it magnified and pays a premium for the privilege. Two holders, opposite preferences, and the premium settles the disagreement.
That changes whose exit matters. Neither side sits across a debt from the other, so no margin desk closes either out. The junior carries it with no liquidation and no outside hedger, sized by what the asset does, not by a collateral ratio.
What it cannot do is change the path. If Bitcoin falls 30 percent, the path is still down 30 percent. The structure divides that outcome; it does not prevent it.
The public beta runs on Base: Bitcoin on testnet first, Coinbase's tokenized stocks next. Marks come from the Points Program's Season 1 for effort, not capital: learning the mechanism, bringing people in. Deposits earn nothing. At launch the top ten divide 1 BTC, settled in cbBTC.

Bitcoin is the hardest asset for a leverage design. 2Factor is proving its own there first.
Most leverage either gets liquidated or decays, so it stays short-term. At Bitcoin's volatility, near 60%, the band where compounding favours the holder closes early.

• Equities leave room past 3x
• Any asset with a positive long-run drift fits

Water at my place does not run every day, so there are drums. How many drums is arithmetic, not a feeling. Days the supply tends to skip, times what the house uses. Too few and you are carrying buckets by Wednesday. Too many and the water sits, goes green and gets poured away.
That arithmetic is what the 2Factor Finance announcement is about, applied to leverage. Each asset has a band where leverage helps, set by its volatility the way the drums are set by how often supply skips. Bitcoin at around 60 percent supports about 1.33x. Equities at 16 to 19 percent support more than 3x. Past the band, volatility drag is the water you poured away.
On Base with Coinbase, each asset splits into a protected senior tranche and a leveraged junior with no liquidation. Bitcoin is on testnet first, tokenized stocks next, and Season 1 of the Points Program at @2FactorFinance is open now.
How do you size the thing you store at home, water, fuel or food, by the worst week you remember or by the average one?
Str⚡️kerX retweeted
Putting a stock onchain changes where it can move. It does not decide how its risk should be financed.
That missing layer matters.
Most leverage relies on borrowed capital, liquidation thresholds and an external counterparty taking the other side. Those mechanics can force a long-term holder into short-term decisions.
@2FactorFinance takes a different approach. It divides an asset’s volatility between two perpetual tranches:
• Senior receives the more protected exposure
• Junior receives capital-efficient leveraged exposure without liquidation risk or an external hedging counterparty
Kelly optimization then sizes the junior multiple according to the asset’s own drift and volatility. Bitcoin’s higher volatility supports roughly 1.33x, while lower-volatility equities can sustain a wider productive band.
2Factor is live on Base and working together with Coinbase to bring this structure to the tokenized-stocks ecosystem.
