We're saddened to hear about the tragedy involving a Learjet 60 near West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday evening, November 1. Weather was likely a contributing factor; while the NTSB has a long investigation ahead, here's what the meteorological and flight tracking data tell us:

Catholics have a real faith that provides them a catechism for viewing art as art. American Protestantism is histrionic and unmoored so anything can be interpreted as the devil.
I’ll Never Understand why Catholics Don’t Call out the Vatican over this?

By the time the Gulf normalizes, US will have been flatline for 2 years and demand grows like it always does. Guys oil isn’t going back under $70 and if you invest based on another expectation you’re a Panican.
It is worth repeating. US crude oil production has not increased since the end of 2025. According to our real-time US crude oil production data, we are actually lower y-o-y. And no, last week's EIA oil storage report had no production shut-in volume. Even if you assume that our data is slightly off, which can be the case, the lack of growth at these oil prices is a sign that the end of shale is here.

OIL SERVICES VS OIL PRODUCERS Oil producers have now made a 4th bottom in 6 years relative to oil producers, as the oil-producers-to-oil-services ratio below shows. The difference now being that oil recently broke out. On a relative basis, oil services are becoming increasingly attractive relative to oil producers. $XLE & $IEZ used as proxies.

Traditional Horror is a deeply Christian genre. I mean, "Dracula" might be the most overtly Christian novel we have. "Frankenstein" is less overt, but it is a story about a man aiming above his station and trying to become God, as well as the repercussions of that. "The Picture of Dorian Gray" is about the consequences of sin and the soul's corruption. Horror in it's correct form treats evil as real, our choices are meaningful, and transgression against the natural (or divine) order catastrophic. There are many other examples. As with anything, use wisdom. The enemy loves to twist what is good.

I have never seen or even heard of a horror film thar “glorifies” demonic possession. The whole point is that it’s scary and bad. The whole thing that makes a horror movie evoke horror is that you are scared of the evil thing. This idea that horror movies generally “glorify” evil is really just incoherent and silly. The worst thing a horror movie can do, morally, is not glorify evil but rather depict evil in a bleak and upsetting way and then just leave you there without any kind of resolution or the faintest triumph of good. That’s the criticism you should be making — the “glorification” charge is just not true and makes you seem totally out of touch with the genre you’re critiquing. And as for the valid critique I just mentioned: it does apply to some films in the genre but not all or even most. I’m thinking of a movie like Funny Games (don’t watch it), for example, that is specifically designed to be one of the most depressing and demoralizing viewing experiences you can ever have. I agree that kind of stuff is worse than worthless. But again, that is not how the horror genre typically works. In most cases, the bad guy is bad, you’re supposed to be scared, and then he’s defeated and the good guys win. That’s the classic form these stories take.

If a movies purpose is to show the biblical reality of darkness and point to how Christ overcomes it all, the yes that is good. I’m thinking of something like Nefarious by @SteveDeaceShow. But the majority of horror films about possessions or the demonic often just glorify it, teach unbiblical ideas, and do not point to Christ. They leave the person watching with no real answers as to why this stuff happens or with them thinking it is so far fetched that the demonic isn’t real at all and it’s just a fantasy movie. So it ends up desensitizing us to the spiritual realm, which is why we see so many dabbling in dangerous witchcraft practices.

Halloween is the Eve of Saints! The costumes and Trick or Treating stem from Christian traditions. Also "do not fear" is not talking about being scared or watching horror. This is just Evangelical legalism. Stuckey is ridiculous and needs to read 1 Cor. 14:34-35 & Tim. 2:11-12!

French GDP is something like 60% government spending on welfare programs. It feels to me more every day there are now two paths for western nations. Watch your country dismantle onto 3rd world chaos (France) or be governed by strong man dictatorial figures (El Salvador). I know which one I’d choose

you can either look at a mortgage as a bank letting you long real estate against a perpetual devaluing dollar for a carry cost slightly above the risk free rate of return, or you can choose to be ignorant of how money works, if you spiritually have the mind of a medieval peasant
“Buying a house right now is FCKING MENTAL. what do you mean I can borrow $400K at 8%, pay almost $3K every month for 10 YEARS, hand the bank roughly $352K, and STILL owe around $351K. And that’s before we even talk about taxes, insurance, maintenance, or repairs. Wild. WILD.”
