One of the greatest mysteries in our current understanding of the universe is why the Hubble constant appears to be different if you use CUDA v11.4 vs v11.5

Surprising fact: no major professional scientific organization has flipped from a paywalled publishing model to 100% Open Access. @TheOfficialACM is going to be the first on January 1, 2026, when its entire digital library will become freely available to the public.

Seeing the responses (and partly the post itself): it must be hard for newbies to make informed decisions. None of the lang advocates highlight the downsides of any of the choices. If you're a newbie, always ask your adviser: what's the catch?
Ok I saw people recommending python to new people in the field, please, just stop. Choose .NET. Choose strong typing for robust code. Choose top-of-the-line IDEs by JetBrains, offering superior debugging capabilities and outstanding compile-time checks. Choose .NET for cross-platform. Choose mature libraries, well-supported APIs, and enterprise-ready solutions. Choose safety, knowing that memory management is taken care of. Choose .NET, not just as another programming language, but as a comprehensive, performance-oriented development environment for crafting reliable, scalable solutions. Choose life.. Don't @ me 🥃😎

We're very old-fashioned. I don't see that as a problem. (Note that we're not data carriers)

I'm currently working on our CPU benchmarking suite for 2024. Are there any specific benchmarks you would like to see included, or specific areas of client CPU performance that you want us to look into? Let me know here, and feel free to RT/spread this far and wide.
