Does anyone know when the Hill Paul company closed? Was the building used for anything else afterwards? We have a newspaper cutting in 1995 that says it was closed for 8 years and another in 1997 says it was empty for 30 years.

Wanted - any very old photographs or paintings of the view from Swift's Hill towards the Severn estuary, to see what has changed. Can anyone help?
Anyone heard of ‘The Whiteshill Guts and Guzzel Band’ ? It appears they played mainly at Christenings, Weddings and Funerals, about or after 1915.
Can anyone help with this? 'I am researching a talk on Ivor Gurney and Will Harvey and I'm looking for information on, and a photo of the Sesame Bookshop, later a craft shop, that was open in London Road Stroud between 1913-1936 ish'
Oddington church, near Stow-on-the-Wold has not been modernised - no electric, so it was cold in November. There is a huge mediaeval painting, and you can sharpen your arrows in the porch. A visit with U3A. More pics on my website: hettyhikes.co.uk
We had a record number at our talk about Daniels last week - 106 were there! We have the book about Daniels for sate at £12 - to get a copy email: [email protected]

St Mary's church at Berkeley is unusual, as it has a separate tower and medieval wall paintings. More pics on my own website: hettyhikes.co.uk/
