What's astonishing is that Bari Weiss gets goose pimples about a Trump policy but forgets how much destruction his fascist tendencies will cause. Bari Weiss always was and remains a toxic troll.
"So tumultuous was the first week of Donald Trump’s second term that people have barely noticed, a week on, that last Tuesday he repealed affirmative action by executive order. That is astonishing.
For half a century, affirmative action has been the federal government’s principal instrument for carrying out desegregation, the longest and costliest moral crusade in American history. After the 1970s it was adapted to liberation movements, from feminism to gay rights. Supreme Court justices anguished over the way its call for special consideration of minorities might clash with the letter of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which barred racial discrimination. Over the past decade affirmative action became the hammer of the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) movement, which grew so unpopular that it has now brought affirmative action (and much else) down with it.
Trump’s decision to repeal it is the most significant policy change of this century—more significant than the Affordable Care Act of 2010 or anything done about Covid. How can people be talking about anything else? Yet major news outlets treat Trump’s bold move as a detail of personnel management: “Distress and Fury as Trump Upends Federal Jobs,” headlined The New York Times.
Somewhere along the line, the Trump administration came to understand in a sophisticated way how the enforcement of civil rights actually works. Not many Americans do—and it’s worth reviewing."

Sad to hear about the passing of former Whitesnake and Blue Murder musician John Sykes. He was a great guitarist with a pure voice. He will be sadly missed. The song "She Knows" was a favourite of mine: m.youtube.com/watch?v=ds5Gdf…
The problem with conservatives like Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson, and Charles Murray is that they break every rule of honest dialogue. What they say/write isn't fair, isn't accurate, and doesn't persuade fair-minded people interested in good-faith arguments.

Jesus goddamn: this is the most hateful, disgusting, straight-up racist thing I have ever seen from any Canadian politician ever.
Every MP in Ottawa is against Trump's idea of annexing Canada. Great.
The same MPs though have no problem inviting millions of Indians to gradually replace us, take our jobs, turn beautiful neighbourhoods into slums, fight their tribal wars in our streets, harass women, replace our traditions, litter and poop all over the country, kill Canadians while driving trucks, steal from food banks, and abuse the refugee system.
It's a disgrace!
This country needs radical change and none of these MPs have the balls to get it done. I do.

Elon Musk is a manipulative propagandist. The Israeli government aims to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from their land. Any rebuild will be for that purpose: land theft.

The majority of the world hates Trump, so public opinion does not need to shift in that direction.
Replying to @MelissaLMRogers
Obviously Trudeau is delighted about this. He's going to try to shift public opinion on "let's all hate Trump" hoping that people will now focus their anger and dissatisfaction on Trump instead of looking at Trudeau's disastrous 9 years in power.
Faults and all (and SNC -L was one of them), Trudeau was not mean-spirited and was a moderate. I prefer that to Poilievre's reckless statements, suggesting that Israel bomb Iranian nuclear sites, calling it "a gift to humanity."
What they meant to say was "stop being a doofus, POTUS."
