EIS FELA members believe that CoGC Mgt has failed to progress and implement Fair Work in the College and that due to chronic mismanagement and a lack of proper governance, working conditions have been allowed to deteriorate.

Even as a politics lecturer in a Middle East department, I am lost.
Israel has a right to self defence, but Lebanon does not?
Israelis have the right to be safe, but Palestinians do not?
Iran can’t launch missiles into civilian areas, but Israel can?
None of this is coherent.
"We stand with Israel, and recognise her right to self defence in the face of this aggression."
UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is addressing the British public after Iran launched missiles towards Israel.

Hi @jon_dutton72 please don't allow Israel Premier Tech to ride in the Tour of Britain. Their co owner is a financial supporter of the IDF who are committing a genocide right now

I u Der stand it too. I would just caution any @EISFela member who is not happy to give it serious thought. Once accepted that’s it until 2026. There has just been announcement of a 10% rise in energy cap come October. We deserve better.

My hot take on the Central Belt today is that it should not cost £31.40 to take the train between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Has anybody else noticed that @CollEmployScot has never campaigned for a fair staff pay rise, since the college sector restructured 11 years ago?
They hate nation bargaining and want to derail it as they see staff wages as an obstacle to feathering their own nests.

From tomorrow, I'm not getting paid as a college lecturer. I'm getting docked 100% pay for participating in industrial action which involves me not doing less than 1% of my role. This is a de facto lockout and something not seen since Thatcher. #collegelockout #saveFE
🏰 It was great to visit @GlamisCastle today to hear more about their contribution to the local economy, and focus on sustainability.

Given we now know that ScotGov have underspent on this year’s budget to the tune of £292,000,000 (FACT), the statement below👇,made by Graeme Dey, is FCUKING DEPLORABLE. He needs to be removed from his ministerial post immediately. This man is utterly & absolutely inept

The treatment of Scotland’s lecturers at Colleges of Further Education has been shameful. The Ordinary Elite podcast will be joined tomorrow with @JimSpenceDundee a former college lecturer in Dundee. Myself and @raguvnor will examine this injustice @CogcEis Online after 7pm.

Correcting my figures from my earlier post @CofGCollege principal Paul Little's had a 6% pay rise over 2 years with 1 year notice period approved by the board yet lecturers are deemed 100% wages for less than 5% of their job! Why is this not news? @STVNews @heraldscotland

This is what the education spokesperson of the @scottishgreens was travelling to attend last night, when he was unable to attend the education hustings organised by @EISUnion
Campaigning in England was more important to him than answering to our educators.
Utter contempt.

There is an expectation for @CollEmployScot and @EISFela to work together but only one of the 2 ever turns up ready to find resolution. @JennyGilruth @GraemeDeyMSP- employers are the problem! Please sort them out!

Hmm...if only there was a provsion for those who don't get what they need from school....oh yeah...we had it. It was called FE. @theSNP @CollEmployScot thanks for ruining it. May future generations hold you accountable. @EISFela
The gap was 7.5% in 2022-23, up from 7% for the school year before.
