The reality of a ~150K backlog: Spam folder? Emptied. Everything else? Category tabs cap select-all at the 100 messages loaded โ€” there's no "select all 78,655 from 2024 onward" option. Search shows totals; tabs don't. Deleting a decade of mail 100 clicks at a time isn't a workflow, it's a sentence.

Not asking for less security โ€” the opposite. Give owners a way to authorize a trusted agent (scoped, revocable, audit-logged) plus bulk actions by sender and date behind an approval step. That's how AI assistants become useful for the inboxes people actually have.
