BRICS is meeting again this year, and I found myself thinking less about what it agrees on and more about what it's built on. Wrote a piece on that.

🚨 Microsoft’s legacy Office & Windows tools are facing a quiet crisis. Corporate headcount is shrinking fast in 2026 with ongoing tech layoffs. Fewer people doing real office work. More meetings, bureaucracy, and fewer meaningful decisions. This is making traditional productivity suites less relevant every quarter. On AI: Ex-Microsoft exec Mat Velloso said the company “blew it with AI, just like with mobile.” 1/4

PSG Triumph – Joy Hijacked by Chaos on Paris Streets Paris lit up in celebration as PSG claimed back-to-back Champions League titles. Fans flooded the Champs-Élysées and Parc des Princes with flares, songs, and fireworks. Yet the night turned violent: clashes with police, damaged vehicles, vandalized storefronts, and over 130 arrests. Thousands of officers deployed in advance — a familiar pattern after major French football victories. 1/8

🚨 They're Building the Future on Your Water Google is investing $15 billion in an AI hub in Visakhapatnam — backed by state subsidies, land deals, and discounted water rights. What the press releases leave out — and what the Wall Street Journal just put on record: → Mango and cashew orchards cleared overnight → Families relocated without real recourse → Water already rationed for millions — piped instead to cool server racks 1/5

Leaders of the 21st century often appear most unqualified for the enormous challenges we face — or perhaps, the challenges we face because of them. Take two of the most prominent: PM Narendra Modi and President Donald J. Trump. Different continents, contrasting styles — yet cut from the same cloth. Both are masters of image over substance. One through carefully curated silence, grand optics, and relentless PR. The other through constant chaos, controversy, and entertainment. 1/7

AI's impact is accelerating: • Goldman Sachs reports a net loss of 16,000 U.S. jobs every month due to AI. • McKinsey and rival consulting firms are now rethinking their pricing as clients increasingly question the value of traditional human advice. The message is clear: If you still believe "it's not coming for my job/industry," you're in for a rude awakening. Whatever you're doing today—your expertise, your services, your output—is facing growing scrutiny. Clients and markets are asking: Why should we pay premium prices for this when AI can handle (or enhance) so much of it? Wake up. Instead of glamorizing things you have no idea what they’re truly bringing for you, lead awakened. Find purpose before profile, clarity before contingency plan, and courage before complacency. GEOPOLITICS AT THE PUMP War is cheap when you don't pay for it at the pump. The agitators have armies. The "neutral" ones have cheaper fuel. The people face $2.38/litre diesel. Look at what the data actually says when you read it geopolitically: 🇩🇪 Germany pays $2.31 for petrol — the country that declared sanctions the loudest, lost Russian pipeline gas, and is now watching its industrial base hollow out. BASF didn't leave because of bad weather. 🇬🇧 UK pays $2.38 for diesel — the government that cheered earliest and hardest is the one whose delivery drivers, nurses, and single mothers are paying the highest pump price on this entire chart. 🇺🇸 USA pays $0.91 for petrol — the architect of the strategic posture, the arms supplier, and the setter of terms pays less than half of what its closest allies pay. Dollar dominance and domestic shale are a remarkable geopolitical insulator. 🇮🇳 India was lectured about being on the "wrong side of history" for staying non-aligned and buying discounted crude. It pays $1.08 for petrol. The sermon came from capitals paying $2.30+. 🇨🇳 China stayed quiet, diversified its imports, and absorbed every accusation of fence-sitting. It pays $1.10 for petrol. Fence-sitting, it turns out, has a very reasonable price per litre. The pattern is not subtle. The loudest voices bear the highest pump prices. The silent ones bear the lowest. And no one at the decision-making table — not one — queues at a petrol station wondering if they can afford the school run this week. The chart is clean. The politics behind it are not. A note on historical context European fuel taxes have been significantly higher than US levels for decades — long before any recent geopolitical event. The energy crisis did not create this gap. It widened it — and then locked it in. The pump prices shown are real. Their roots are structural. Their acceleration is political. The most vulnerable economy on this chart is not the most expensive one. India sits quietly at $1.08/litre. That looks almost reasonable on a global comparison chart. It is not. One litre of petrol in India consumes approximately 18% of a daily minimum wage. The same litre costs a US worker under 1% of theirs. Germany's daily-wage worker, paying $2.31, is still absorbing a smaller share of their income at the pump than the Indian worker paying $1.08. India's GDP rank is 5th in the world. Its per-capita reality is 142nd. The chart shows a country that looks great on the global list — but behind that number is an economy where a single-rupee increase at the pump triggers cascading inflation across food, transport, freight, and daily wages simultaneously. No other economy on this chart carries that fragility at that scale. The highest pump price is Germany's burden. The highest pump vulnerability is India's — and it is not even close. 🚨 The Global Debt Reckoning Is Here. Global government debt stood at nearly 94% of GDP in 2025. It is now projected to reach 100% by 2029 and 102% by 2031, according to the IMF. This matches levels last seen after World War II. But unlike that era, we do not have decades of strong growth ahead to grow out of it. The US is heading toward 142% debt-to-GDP by 2031. China is also borrowing heavily. Together, they are driving most of the global rise.

Look at any leader. The thing they talk about most, push hardest, build their whole image around, that’s exactly where the biggest lie or betrayal shows up later. The anti-corruption guy ends up neck-deep in it. The transparency preacher hides the most. The equality fighter creates bigger gaps around himself. The peace talker lights the next fire. The green leader signs off on the dirtiest deals. It’s not coincidence. The more they repeat something, the more that thing becomes the weak spot, the secret they learned can be manipulated most. The louder they shout it, the surer it is that’s where they’ll fall. Why is this the clearest thing in our age? Firstly: moral decay, character lost, integrity compromised, unlimited greed and hunger for power. But all this is not new, it’s historic. The second factor makes the first one impossible to miss: now everything gets caught. Phones, leaks, old posts, money trails, videos, nothing stays buried long. What used to take twenty years to expose happens in weeks. The mask drops fast. We see it over and over, in every country, every party, every movement. So it stops being about one bad person. It becomes how power works. The thing they sell hardest is the thing they’re already selling out. That’s it. No excuses left. No hiding. Just the pattern, plain as day. The quote is short. The truth isn’t. #LeadAwakened

Power becomes borrowed when it is handed to you by someone else, for good reasons or bad. Power becomes borrowed when it does not awaken you into clarity, courage, and truth, and you still cling to it. Power becomes borrowed when the bearer slips into the illusion that it is his power, that he is power, and that others exist beneath it. That is the moment borrowed power turns toxic: it stops stewarding people and starts demanding obedience.

Across human systems, hate has become a currency everywhere. Division gets engineered in homes, workplaces, communities, and nations, and greed gets defended as ambition and “success.” The machinery does not need a podium to work. It works in whispers, in choices, in loyalties, in what people reward and what they excuse. In that climate, love stops being soft. Togetherness stops being normal. They become dangerous, because they collapse the market for conflict and expose the emptiness behind a life built on fracture. "Love and togetherness are the deadliest acts of war in a world where hate, division, and greed are treated as the growth economy of success."

Discern this early: goodness that refuses to contend with wrongdoing becomes a façade. It keeps the discourse polite while the damage trickles down. When leaders and citizens dodge the imbroglio out of fear of getting “dirty,” they surrender the field to malign actors. The wolf is at the door, and society still wants to muddy the waters with pretence. Lift the veil. Take the training wheels off. Intervene with sobriety and courage, or suffering becomes the ineluctable outcome. #AwakenedLeadershipMovement

Most people argue about color as if pigment carries morality, as if biology decides who deserves respect, and that confusion has fuelled centuries of cruelty dressed up as culture, class, tribe, and superiority. The truth is simple and demanding. Color is biology, it arrives without consent and without credit. Clarity is conscience, the inner ability to see a human being as a human being even when bias, fear, and inherited hatred try to hijack perception. Humanity is conduct, the daily proof of who we are through how we speak, how we treat, how we include, and how we restrain ourselves from humiliation and domination. Healing and leadership both begin when inner clarity becomes lived behaviour. #AwakenedLeadership

Most of history was never built on consent, accountability, or the dignity of ordinary people. It was built on concentrated power, a few deciding for the many, and institutions designed to protect the centre, not the citizen. Democracy, in the modern sense, is the exception, not the rule. The danger is not power itself. The danger is unawakened power running amok, intoxicated by control, trading law, humanity, and restraint for dominance. That is how the world slides back into its oldest habit: fear as policy, violence as language, and people treated as expendable. #AwakenedLeadership

Peace itself does not demand payment, status, or victory. It is available the moment you choose clarity, restraint, and reconciliation. The real “price” appears when you reject peace. Then you start paying in time, sleep, relationships, money, security, and years of restless chasing. You suffer the cost of conflict, and you keep paying again and again because what you refused keeps calling you back. #LeadAwakened
