Believe it or not, real whipping cream is only recently available, here in Costa Rica. Having a bowl of vanilla bean whipped cream on hand for topping off coffee or for dipping berries, is such a treat. You really learn to appreciate the small things, here.

The farm dogs have taken to me. This one is Canelo (cinnamon). He’s the sweetest little thing. He’s known me for all of 3 days and already curls up right beside me.

Packing up and going through old stuff to move, and came across some hand written cards from my Grams. We were big into sending letters to each other in my 20’s. She was always thinking of me and sending me articles. She knew I loved the Grateful Dead and sent me this. Makes me so happy that I lugged this all the way from CA to Costa Rica, years ago. I didn’t save many sentimental things, just 2 small boxes. I could pick out her handing writing anywhere. Miss you Grams. 💕

I’m a huge fan of vacuum seal bags for moving and traveling. I’ve had some of this bagged for 5 years!

I just found my very old, very well used tea towels that my Grams (who passed 4 years ago) embroidered for me, 20 years ago. What a sweet find. Cant wait to use them again and think of her 🩷
