THIS was the Castlevania I fell in love with as a kid.
As much as I want the franchise to return, this latest offering is NOT it. It lacks the authentic gothic atmosphere, the weightier platforming and more grounded combat.
Sorry Konami but it feels like a generic indie game. Maybe its gameplay is fun but the staple Castlevania signature is completely gone.
