This is Miyamoto. We are happy to announce that the third Super Mario movie, now known as "Super Mario Double Dash" movie will have no story and will just be 2 hours of Mariokart Double Dash gameplay
Chris Pratt says the story for ‘SUPER MARIO MOVIE 3’ is still being figured out:
“I think they’re just probably figuring out what that story looks like right now.”

i dont think vibecoded software is really much more bug-prone than any other software. almost all complex code is buggy if you havent tested it. theres just a selection bias, where more often vibecoded projects are created by people not interested in testing and maintenance

The infamous "WET YOURSELF..." Super Mario Sunshine print ad is often posted online without context, leading many to believe it is fake or fan-made. However, it is very much real, appearing on page 130 of issue 119 of the British Nintendo Official Magazine.

Miyamoto's statement as a whole is really good, but that part — "as AI takes care of more and more tasks, we have to seriously think about what it means to truly create something" — is so interesting to me. I feel this is the right mindset to navigate the era we're entering.

I don't really mind if ports are vibecoded... As long as they are *actual* ports and not dumb emulator wrappers
