Meet Tony Ballard the man leading the way. Still incarcerated, Tony who is serving 20 + years found chess in prison and it changed his life. He is now committed to providing that same opportunity to countless others.

6th grader Raymond, seen here in Kijiji House preparing to embarrass our grown up staff chess players, is a promising chess prodigy who can't afford his school fees. Through our network with Ken Kaplan, founder of the Kibera Knights, we secured a full boat scholarship for Raymond at nearby Global One private school. Keep an eye on this one!

It is what it is! Tomorow delegates at the 46th FIDE congress in Samarkand Uzebkstan will decide to vote me as FIDE vice president or not..I carry with me not just my dreams but the dreams of young people from minority federations who aspire to make an impact on a global stage. I appreciate those who always believe in me and give me the courage to keep pushing .This is an opportunity to prove that FIDE is indeed an inclusive organisation. – at Tajikistan

Today, I hosted a lunch with delegates from across the global chess community, where Vishy and I shared the key ideas behind our programme for FIDE. But the day was above all about listening and exchanging ideas. In a relaxed atmosphere, delegates had the opportunity to speak directly about the challenges facing their federations, share their priorities and discuss ideas for the future of chess. It was also a chance for delegates from different countries and regions to connect with one another, exchange experiences and continue the conversations that bring the international chess community together. Dialogue. Ideas. Cooperation. Building the future of chess. Together. #turlovforchess
